Do they show the band on the big screen at the Garden? It could be that mixed with a soundboard feed which wouldn't be too hard to do. I know that bands who play the Va Beach amphitheater get a copy of the big screen feed with the music (well, I know it was done back in the days of VHS).
So it wouldn't be beautiful videography, but it would still be the show. I swear at Va Beach this year they had no way to point a camera at Mike. He would be tearing up a solo and they would be showing Eddie just standing there not singing or playing. I was on the lawn so after a few songs I decided it was more fun to watch the stage and see the whole band moving around than to try to see anyone's face on the screen.
Torrent what? I guess not. I'm going to make a DVD and send it to LukinFan and few others and you can deal with it.
If you could send it to someone who can make a torrent, that would be great and would get it spread around really fast. I'm sure someone on your list can do it, but if not I'm willing to do it. am i the only one here who thought this was a sarcastic thread at first? when i first read the OP's post i thought he was saying that the '03 msg concert was going to be on tv, a concert no doubt most of us have on dvd, and i thought that the rest of the thread was a giant sarcastic joke on the OP i'm such a loser sometimes i really do hope that its one of the '08 shows since i was at both of those! not to mention i have the '03 show on dvd already, though when i went to see the info for it on cablevision it also said live at the garden... perhaps thats just a misnomer and it's cablevision's generic way of saying it's a pearl jam concert at msg? hopefully

Without being the rain-on-the-parade guy, I've gotta say I am highly dubious that these guys are indeed gonna be playing a PJ show from this year in its entirety from the Garden.
Not that I think anyone here's purposely trying to convey misleading information, but I believed those Georgia Sasquatch guys more than I believe that Pearl Jam would allow the MSG Network to just play a soundboard/in-house camera version of one of their shows. ...it's not just Live At The Garden? They ran that when the boys were in town in June. I just can't believe the miserable Dolans would have access to something like one of the June shows, and would have the brains to arrange to air it. This just sounds way too good to be true, and I don't associate that with the MSG Network...

MSG airs concerts all the time from this year. They did the Foo Fighters from thier February show, lots of interviews and backstage stuff, the Police, The cure, and a few others I can't remember now. It is possible that it is this years show.

along with everybody else, i'm excited to see this and crossing my fingers it's '08. I've got my dvr set to record as well.
so here is my question - i'd be happy to upload the hd recording of this event (assuming its '08), but does anybody know a "best practices" way of doing that. in other words, what's the best way to get it from the dvr to the computer?

A friend of mine just told me MSG network in NYC will be playing one of the June MSG shows on the MSG network next Tuesday, August 26 from 7:30 to 10:00. Check your local listings !!!!

Now, where would that come from if they weren't planning a DVD???
