Album Art ...

Using (vinyl) album covers to make a 3' x 3' jesture over my fireplace.

Heres what I have to put in the 9 picture frames:

PJ Ten
PJ Avocado
Beatles - Sgt Pepper
Beatles White Album
Beatles - Abbey Road
Queen News of the World
Queen Day at the Races
Elton John - Yellow Brick Road
Kiss - Alive
Billy Squire - A good shot
Van Halen - I have every album but 1984 is great.
Herb Albert - Whipped Cream and other delights ... definite #1

Thoughts?

    do you like the avocado album a lot or are you just using that for aesthetic purposes because frankly there's better pj covers IMO, unless you really like that cover. other than that it's a cool idea, you should post pics after it's done :) btw, that's my favorite elton john song

    yeah i get it, but i dunno i'd rather replace avocado with riot act or something, but if you dont have it i understand... anyway i hope it turns out awesome, it sounds awesome for sure :)

    I think the Elton John Captain Fantastic would be a better choice than Yellow Brick Road. It has great artwork. The poster that comes with it is amazing. You can't beat album art. You don't see people framing cd's.

    The record companies wonder why people aren't buying cd's now and stealing the downloads of music. If they went back to selling albums like they used to guaranteed they would start making money again. Even if they put the cd in the album in a small sleeve it would work. I know when I was growing up everybody waited for the new albums to come out not only for the music but for what the music came with. Like the album cover artwork and whatever else they put in the sleeve. usually a poster or words to the songs or whatever. Now all you get is a piece of plastic that takes forever to open, a piece of paper with some artwork that is so small you can't really appreciate it and usually nothing else. The cd's usually don't even have the name of the band on them or is so small you can't make out who it is, then when you open your cd case you go what in the hell is this cd.

    Hope you put a photo up when you are done. I'd like to see it too.
