Anybody notice during the 2nd inning that President Obama was the Lucky Pierre (using Joe Buck Show vernacular) in the booth with Buck and McCarver?

It was kinda nifty to see him do that. I also liked the footage of him in the locker room before the game giving Pujols a hard time about letting Fielder beat him at the Home Run Derby in his own park ;)

I praise him for thinking ...

"fuck it ... the White Sox are my team, and I'm going to flash their colors up in this muther fucker!"

... would have been intersting to see if he did that if he were a Cubs fan though.

He threw an OK first pitch, but FOX didn't show the normal angle. If it had been an awful thow, FOX had plans for multiple replays!

Another angle has come out since. He low-balled it to Pujols (which he said he didn't want to do).

    Oh well!

I thought the footage of him in the locker room before the game was pretty cool too!

He might be good at basketball, but he bowls like a 10 year old and throws a baseball like a girl! :D

My whole thing was that he had to wear something to cover-up what he was probably forced to wear underneath. I mean who wears a windbreaker like that on a nice summer day...

Yeah, that's true. You'd think he would just wear a Sox jersey...

As you mentione and others have said the locker room footage was awesome. To see him razzing jeter about being one of the older guys there, teasing howard & albert about them letting prince come in and win the HR derby, talking to buerle about the sox, and probably the best was ichiro being so polite in asking for an autogragh and seemingly getting giddy like a kid.

It is nice to see baseball players get like that.

I thought that was great. I couldnt believe he had that White Sox jacket on. I thought maybe he'd rock a Sox hat, but a huge jacket like that??? Still can't believe the president is a Sox fan.

Ichiro was so cute.. I agree that was very cool seeing him hanging out with everyone in the locker room.
If I had one day to spend hanging out with Obama...I just wanna sit on the couch and watch Sportscenter with him. :)

Good for him for standing by his team. I like how he dodged picking the world series winner too early, but he is 2 for 2 so far with the superbowl and NCAA championship.

It is far from unprecidented. Reagan did it for the 89 all star game and actually called a wade boggs home run.

Yeah but as a former actor Reagan actually was a celebrity. And he wasn't in the midst of the shit-storm the world finds itself in currently. Obama could really stand to lower his profile a bit.

I voted for him and support him, but I agree with you!

    He sure loves the spotlight!
