I just checked the goods section and could have bought tix for LA 4, if i didn't live in Boston. Thought people might like to know.

yeah. wow. I'm sure they will go by end of day tomorrow, but wow.

Assuming 600 tickets to each show, that is 300 pairs X 4 = 1,200 Ten Club members.

Seems like a small amount..... although with all the shows all over the continent and Europe, perhaps we are not getting much outside traffic.

AND if they got 20% of the Gibson Amphitheater then it could be as high as 2,400 Ten club members scoring tickets and that is quite a lot of pairs to move I guess?

Normally they play 2 LA shows at a venue 3X as big. Then again, there are a lot of repeat 10C customers at those 2 shows...

Good grief - 7pm and still there! The club needs to let us buy a 2nd pair!
Kind of wish I'd waited - I got the 2nd show. Better seats if fewer members....but too nerve wracking to wait and risk not getting any.

I would say 10% of venue is likely, so your 1,200 estimate is probably close.

Last time they played L.A. they were at the Forum, which holds about 17,000. 10% of that is 1700 seats, or 850 10C ticket pairs.

So basically there are 350 more pairs this time around. We know they already sold 900 (since the first three shows sold out), and probably at least 1,100 (I can't imagine there are more than 100 pairs left for night four).

That's actually not too bad considering the fact that (a) members were limited to one show (you know this would have easily sold out if not for the limit): (b) we are in the midst of a tough economy; and (c) unlike the east, there aren't really any nearby big cities (aside from San Diego, I guess), from where people can simply jump in their car or public transit to catch the show. Whereas getting to a show in New York from a city in a different STATE (such as New Jersey or Philadelphia or Hartford) would take about 2 hours, just going from San Francisco to L.A. is a good 6 hours away, and the nearest big cities in other states (Las Vegas and Phoenix) are 4 and 6 hours away, respectively.

i was amazed at this. however, i overcame the shock and purchased my 10C tickets for the 10/07 show at 11:33 PM CDT and i am glad because i had given up on any hope of getting 10C tix to any LA show this time around...

    color me happy :D
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Yeah... but what would probably happen is they would have only one show in a small venue in your town... and there would still be tickets available hours after they went on sale. So, it would be a wash.

Love it. 50 people comment on this yet Cosmo quotes me in multiple threads. Seriously though, glad you got tickets and good luck on Ticket Master. Enjoy the shows.

But if this happened anywhere in the south, most of this board would be up in arms and wondering where the fans are.

Philly will sell out both shows at the Spectrum in seconds.

Man if this was the south people would be fucking crying all night about how bad we suck and they should never play anywhere but Philly, New York, and Boston. Never mind the fact that Atlanta always sells out when Pearl Jam plays. Charlotte and Raleigh were both sold out as well in 2003 and Columbia, SC was sold out in 2008. I would imagine they would sell out Dallas quite easily as well.

Yeah there are about 18 million people in the New York metro area not counting the Philly metro area of over 5 million and DC is in driving distance as well. So of course every north east date will sell out. A lot more people to draw from.
