Hello board!! I'm new to the forum but by all means have been a life long Pearl Jam fan. I don't know why I've never posted here before but I've been reading post for years. I live just north of Seattle and have seen Pearl Jam 20 times. Been a 10C member since 1996 (141xxx). The current ticket sales have been somewhat friendly to me. Missed out on Seattle 1 cuz, well, I just screwed up. Gotta hope for ticketbastard I guess. Got Seattle 2 and LA 1 so I'm happy. Anyways, just felt it was time I started posting. Look forward to talking to you.

Hahaha. Yeah I saw that guy yesterday that was bitching about not getting tickets and felt the whole Key Arena should be fan club only. Some people on here ripped him hard. Thought it was comical. My favorite reply was, "soooooo did you get tickets"?

 I think that thread was a pretty good representation of what goes on here.
    1) Find someone who says something you disagree with
    2) Treat him/her like a punching bag, and encourage others to do so
    3) Wait until the funny guy/girl comes by and says something to lighten up the mood

    20. First show was in 1996 when they first started the 10C tickets. I've seen almost every Seattle since with the exception of 1 showbox show and a secret show at Aerospace. Went to all 3 at the Gorge and seen them in Portland and Boise. That's a far as my travel experience has been. I am going to LA 1 and I'm freaking stoked!!! That was by far the easiest ticket purchase I've ever had. I was sweating bullets yesterday.

Thanks. I've got a feeling this is going to be addicting. I have so much crap to do today but I keep checking this thing.
  • Welcome - I too am new to the board but have been with PJ since the Malfunshun/Mother Love Bone days. Joined the 10c sometime between '94 and '95, my member number is 116. I grew up on Bainbridge Island with Andy Wood, blah, blah, blah.

It's been an interesting past few days here and there are definitely some not so positive folk, but for the most part it's all good and the fans are good fans.

yeah...I find it's pretty hard to find a board that doesn't have some negative people on it...This one isn't so bad, as long as you learn to tune out all the inevitable complaints.

Welcome to the wonderful world of posting! It really is fun, and there are a lot of nice people.

Since you're a Seattle person, would you mind answering a couple of questions? I promised my husband that we could go to Vancouver or Victoria while we're in Seattle. I know that Seattle has lots to see & do, but as long as we're that close, he wants to explore. What is the best way to get there? I've been reading that driving takes long, and there are delays at the border crossings. If you only had time to go to one of the two cities, which one would you choose?

    Thanks!

Yeah I hear ya. Yesterday morning was a not so fun time cuz I screwed up trying for Seattle 1. I still don't know what to do with getting tickets for that show. Do I go to a ticketmaster venue? Ticketmaster.com? Livenation.com? :?:

Vancouver is the shiznit! Yea, the drive can be long but I drive up to Seattle from Portland all the time so I'm used to long drives. Have to admit, however, that I haven't driven up to Vancouver in quite some time so couldn't speak to the lines at the border. I would highly recommend a trip to Vancouver. Especially now while they're getting ready for the Olympics.

If you're just looking for a single, I'd wait and see what extras pop up on the board...otherwise, I'd show up to the venue early, and try to get one that way... usually results in better seats...

I've had luck at ticketmaster. Just get on a few minutes before the sale starts. Make sure to set up an account first so you can get everything done quickly.

I can probably help you out with Seattle 1. As long as you are ok with a pair of tickets that are pretty close to the back oft he 10C seniority line...

I don't care where it is to be honest. It'll be better then a random ticketmaster ticket.

I'd go to the island. The drive to the border is about an hour an a half to 2 hours and who knows how long the line will be. Plus there's new requirements for crossing. Make sure you check that out too.
