I work in a building connected to penn station so i'll be walking back to the area. Is it safe? Well maybe not completely at that time but considering you won't be the only one doing it you should be fine.
  • You'll be just fine,.Newark is a crazy place,.but like any big city,.mind your buisness, dont stop when people are trying to talk to ya(Askin for shit for the most part) I'm from jersey city, and used to work in newark for 6 yrs,.The ghetto'ist part for that matter, and never had a problem,..You'll be in down-town newark,.you'll be alright,.dont worry...If ya dont wanna walk and feel safer takin a cab right to penn station,or a bus? Then for peace of mind it'll be worth it.... But there will be ton's of people walkin to get to penn station,.so dont worry, and enjoy the show,.see u there..
Now we got a fuckin fight up here, what there's a republican in the audience, what's going on? Eddie(Randell's Island N.Y 96)

I don't think it will be bad if you stay on the main streets to and from the gig. It's in the business district so it's off the beaten path from serious Newark.
