So each L.A. show at the Gibson holds about 6,000 people...

...that should mean about 600 fan club seats for each show.

Makes it harder to get tickets for sure, but there shouldn't be a bad 10C seat in the house!

Neither Ticketmaster nor Live Nation are listing these Gibson Theater shows ... yet? I see the Seattle and Philly shows listed as going on public sale this weekend, but nothing on these LA shows?

Anybody know the public sales routine for these yet?

EDIT: Ok from the announcement: All other confirmed shows go on sale to the general public on Saturday, July 18th at 10amPDT. Visit this link for details: http://www.ticketmaster.com.

Just nuthin showing up as of yet....

The Universal Ampitheater can be configured for a General Admission pit in the lower orchestra. They limit the number of tickets allowed is this area by wristbands.
I wonder if this configuration will come into play.

Highly unlikely. I'm pretty sure this will be all seated. Been to Universal a ton of times and never seen them use the pit configuration, even for rock shows.

    ...
Foo Fighters... Acoustic Christmas... the upcoming No Doubt and Chickenfoot gigs are General Admission pit. The area normally holds about 7 rows. They are pretty good about making sure it doesn't get cramped in there.

It really would be great. The Pit is small and they do not pack people in. If you want to hang towards the back... get a beer... use the restroom... you can!!! And if you are up in the front... you don't get squished.
BUT... Being Los Angeles... there ARE those douchebag pieces of shit that think they can force their way to the front. Fortunenately, most of the douchebags come from places other than Los Angeles.

Yeah, this old fat Mexican dude with a bandana on was crushing people to get near the front to STP on July 1st. Was funny seeing him rock out to Sour Girl, haha.

I hate those assholes. The worst of the worst show up at Rage (Audioslave) gigs. They go there and actually throw punches. I know... what do I expect... but, I don't expect a concert floor to resemble a prison exercise yard (or the cheap seats at a Raiders' Home game). Real fucking shitheads.

People forcing their way to the front is not just an L.A. problem: It happened at all 3 PJ shows I attended at the 'Great Woods/Tweeter Center' in Mansfield MA. The closer to front row I was, the worse the shoving, climbing, seat folding, etc. My closest seat was sixth row, my furthest was twentieth row. It became so mosh-pit like at times that it took away some of the value of having precious seating in the fan club section.

Oh, and at Hartford 1996, the folks in the lawn section broke down a barrier and they ALL poured into the front near the stage! I scrambled back a good 30 rows just to be safe!

I saw Sam Kinison perform there in 1988. Billy Idol blew the house down with his loud-ass music (as my dad put it).

And just think, isn't that the same place where Pearl Jam received Video of the Year in 1993, along with a few other VMA's?
