backspacer question

soo...we can apparently pre-order the new cd. is there any special perks coming with this? such as, but not limited to: a live cd, some sort of dvd, a hug, a poster.

just curious because of the live cd we got with S/T

    I was just about to start a new thread pretending to complain about this... I'm really surprised people aren't whining about this yet. Bonus stuff is always good, but I'm just excited for a new CD.

    the bonus disc with Avocado was a throw-away anyways. felt ripped off after that.

    not only the sound quality, but it was a recording that had already been circulating amongst the trading community for years, and it was poorly tracked on top of it. they have an entire vault of unreleased recordings and they decide to just ripoff the fans. really hasnt sat well with me. decisions like that really make me wonder if they think we're just a bunch of morons.

    yeah no complaining from this guy. I was just curious. I was hoping for an authentic pearl jam lite brite or something. maybe a mike mccready shaped electric toothbrush.

    it seems like if the band got behind this target idea it would be nice to support it so that target is more likely to do it again in the future... must be advantageous to them in some way... but maybe the deal just included a certain amount up front + the publicity and the actual sales are irrelevant... i mean, with ordering from 10C atleast you know 100% of the profit goes right to them

    You order from 10C you get "TEN CLUB/INDIE PACKAGE. HARD-BOUND BOOK STYLE JACKET ALA THE AVOCADO PACKAGE"

    I have no idea how nice this is since S/T took a while arriving here (Nova Scotia) and I broke down and bought it at Futureshop for $9.99 the day it came out anyway.. So I have 2 copies, the 10C is unopened. The wife officially thinks I'm nuts for keeping a 2nd copy of Yield on hand in case I wear out one.

    it might have been labeled a give-away or bonus, but if you pay extra for it, it's not free.

    the 12/31/92 show was a way to get fans to buy the album from the 10C. I paid $15 for it from the 10C instead of buying it from Best Buy for $10 just so I could get the show. so was it free? no. was it safe for the buyer to assume that because it was coming from the band, it would be a professionally recorded show? yes.

    was it of the quality that we expect an official release to be? absolutely not.

    disappointing.
