I noticed in some of those articles about ITW and Ed's solo tour that they mentioned the number of copies sold. Does anybody know whether the Soundscan numbers include Ten Club sales? Or the vinyl copies? Just wondering...

    No idea but according to Billboard (15/2/08):

    "Vedder's "Into the Wild" soundtrack has sold 243,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The track "Guaranteed" won the Golden Globe for best original song, while "Hard Sun" enjoyed success at radio, peaking at No. 13 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart."

    I guess you would think there would be some kind of reporting system in place from band websites, but I couldn't tell you if there is.
