I got into a cooking mode this past weekend:

Sat. breakfast: French toast made with Hawaiian sweet bread, eggs and bacon

Sat. Dinner: Brisket in the slow cooker, season with kosher salt, paprika, black pepper, chili powder and curry powder, topped with sweet BBQ sauce during the last 1/2 hour of cooking. Also a nice salad with red leaf lettuce, and new potatoes, boiled first, then broiled on skewers, brushed with butter, parmasean cheese and garlic.

Sun. breakfast: Breakfast burritos with egg, bacon and American cheese.

I never thought I'd get so much enjoyment out of cooking....I am softening up in my golden years!

i don't cook, my husband does...and he definitely has been cooking up a storm lately! weekends are always fab, especially in the summer...all the grilling!

hubby made his fantastic shrimp scampi saturday...
sunday, 'my usual' bacon, egg and cheddar on whole wheat english muffin....pre-dinner: his fresh-made salsa, guacamole and pear mojitos! then some yummy cheeseburgers with fresh onions and hot sauce for dinner. followed up with some delish ciao bella raspberry sorbetto. also made my fave thai cucumber salad for my lunch this week, and of course had it today.....fantastic.

and as i said, i don't cook...but i do love to make smoothies. :D a fairly regular saturday afternoon summer ritual: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, green tea, ice and bacardi......yummm. 8-)

men who cook = sexxxy.
    Stay with me...
