    First of all, I really do hope they do it...

    That said, this is one of those weird situations where they'll almost CERTAINLY be playing songs off the new record in August, which makes me think that if they ARE planning on releasing them, they won't be available until after the album drops on September 20th. It doesn't make sense to compromise the album before it's released, particularly given how hard they work to keep it from leaking out early...

    The shows after the release date, however, are fair game.

    Exactly, this is why I'll be extremely surprised if any boots are released from the August shows. Boots from the album mini-tour are much more likely but I'd say you can count on no boots for the pre-album shows.

    Hopefully the August shows will be available for a pre-order and will ship on or around the Backspacer release. That way the album will be out and the folks who attended the shows can still get a copy. Everybody wins.

    I wouldn't mind having to pre-order and wait for the August shows as that makes perfect sense, but I do hope those shows make it to bootlegs. Can never have too many BOOTS!

    Yeah, I really hope they make bootlegs for the August shows, even if I have to wait until after September 20th to get them!

    I think they did not make the bootleg announcment last summer until a few days before the shows started, but hoping to get it sooner this year.
