Night 1, 2, 3, 0r 4? Anyone ever been to that venue before, what's it like? Lastly, what do you guys think of rows 1-2 and 9-10 being randomly selected?

Only one night from 10Club though, you'd have to go through ticketmaster for the other. I might go to two.

If I travel to LA it would be for nights 3 and 4.

I love that they are bringing back the lottery. It gives those of us with crappy fan club #s a chance to move up to a better seat.

Not sure which I'm going to try for. Doesn't much matter since I plan on getting tickets for all shows one way or another anyway.

I have been to the Gibson Amphitheatre (formerly Universal Amphitheatre) many times! In fact, my first concert ever was there (Oasis in 1997). Most recently, I saw the Smashing Pumpkins there earlier this year.

It's a pretty cool venue. As previously stated, it holds about 6,000 people (all seated). Sightlines are excellent since the rows slope gradually up. Acoustics are GREAT -- one of the better venues for sound in my opinion.

Beer, food, etc. at the venue is incredibly expensive, so be prepared for that. On the other hand, the amphitheatre is right next to Universal City Walk (you'll park in the lots for the City Walk to access the theatre, in fact). The City Walk is lined with restaurants (some pretty good ones at that), as well as a bunch of other little shops, so I'd recommend you go there for dinner/drinks before the show and make your way into the theatre after that.

Not sure what else to say except that I'm super excited and can hardly wait for Sept. 30. Feel free to shoot any other questions my way if they come up!

You'll take that back when you see the $10+ price tag on a shitty brand of beer.

Hmmm...not sure about hotels to be honest, since I've never stayed there. If Google maps says yes, though, I'd say go for it!

Not sure as of right now, which shows to see....

It has been years, since i have been to the Universal City Walk.....

    1995 San Francisco
              San Jose

              San Diego 2 shows

    2003 Missoula

    2005 Missoula

2006 Denver 2 shows with Tom Petty

             Gorge 2 shows

    2009 Utah

              LA2

2012 Missoula : Meet and Greet : "Instant Classic show"

    2013 Portland

             Spokane

    2018 Missoula

  • So i've already got one going with the October 6 and 7 shows in LA, but i'm looking at doing 2 more.

If anyone's interested, and i'm hoping someone is, here's what i'm looking to do.

I'll buy 2 tickets to San Diego, and give my extra to someone who buys 2 tickets to either Sep 30 or Oct 1, and gives me the extra for that. It'll be a straight up ticket exchange, and will enable us to see a few shows.

So if you're looking at the Sep 30 or Oct 1 shows, and you have an extra, i'll swap it for a San Diego ticket.
