Extra Chicago Fan Club Ticket Each Night - Face Value

I posted it already in the Chicago Ticket Thread, but I've only received a few responses and I wanted to give everyone a chance.
I have 1 VERY GOOD extra fan club ticket for each night. The person I was going with can't make it. If you're interested PM me with your request and a little bit about why you should get them. There are a lot of people out here looking for tickets and I want to make sure they go to the right person for the right reasons. I will be selling them at FV of course. Once I read throught them I'll contact the person(s) I'm going with.
I have been a Fan Club member since the mid 90s and a fan since 91.

HERE GOES ...
I would love to take the Night 1 ticket off your hands. You can save the night 2 ticket for someone else if you're trying to spread the joy. I've got two for that show.
I'm a lifelong Pearl Jam fan from Portland, Oregon. I have been an on and off 10 Club member and therefore have a terrible seniority number, even though my membership dates back to 1993. There are several gaps in my membership over the past 16 years and now I'm stuck in the back of the line. I just renewed this fall. Oh, the madness!
I don't know what else to tell you without begging for the ticket. I guess I should share with you my greatest Pearl Jam memory, and why it ties in to these two Chicago shows.
In 1995 I got a letter in the mail one day with a Seattle return address. I had no idea what it was, but when I opened the envelope inside were two free tickets to see Pearl Jam in February at the Moore Theater (where Even Flow was filmed). At first I thought the tickets might be fake, or that I might be the victim of a prank by my friends. But they were real. Pearl Jam was playing two free shows for fan club members only. The first was for Seattle members and the second was for Portland members, or maybe visa versa, who cares.
Anyway, this was when Pearl Jam was unequivocally the biggest band in the world but were impossible to see. They weren't touring because of that whole Ticketmaster shit. So my dad drives me and a buddy up to the show on a school night and we pack into this small theater and I kept thinking this is too good to be true. This isn't real. There's no way Pearl Jam is going to walk out on that stage right in front of me. Something is going to go wrong.
Then the lights went out and my heart practically stopped.
The entire theater went dark and the band members appeared like ghosts. I was right up in front and I could barely see them. To this day I still don't know how they could see anything themselves, or how they found their way to their instruments. It was that dark.
Then we began hearing that unmistakable chime that is the opening of "Release."
The song began to build but the theater remained in almost complete darkness. Then the lights began to raise just a bit and we could hear Ed's deep humming voice but only see his silhouette. It remained that way throughout the entire song — just silhouettes of the band members playing that most powerful, moving, heart-wrenching song. Ed's vocals on Release were incredible, and it was surreal watching just a shadow of him belt out those moving lyrics.
At the time Pearl Jam had, what, three records? People used to always ask me, "What is your favorite Pearl Jam song?" and I always replied: "There's too many good ones to choose from."
After that moment at the Moore Theater in 1995 I finally had an unmistakable favorite Pearl Jam song: Release.
I can sit and listen to that song for hours on repeat. The live versions are so much more real and beautiful than the 10-era recording.
Now here's what gets me. I've seen Pearl Jam something like 10 or 12 times since that night in Seattle 14 years ago but they've never played Release again. Every time I make my way to a show I cross my fingers and just pray (figuratively) that they'll open with Release but it never happens. I'm always just a little bit disappointed, although it's hard to be disappointed about anything at a Pearl Jam show.
Now I'm flying to Chicago to see these shows for many reasons. One, I haven't seen Pearl Jam in three years and I'm just going through withdrawals. The other reason, as crazy as it sounds, is that I'm pretty sure we're going to get a Release during at least one of these shows, probably the first. Release is about Ed's father, obviously, and Pearl Jam tends to play it when they do shows in Chicago. It's his dad's hometown, and Eddie sometimes changes the lyrics to reflect this.
I'm dying to see Pearl Jam play Release live again and I'd bet $100 that they open with it on Night 1. But rather than put money on a bet, I'd prefer to spend it on something more productive. Like that extra ticket in your possession.
I know we're all fans. It is just there are a lot of people that are looking for tickets and there don't seem to be a lot of people with extras and I wanted to come up with a fair way instead of just randomly picking someone. I also just want to make sure I'm going to sell them to someone I won't regret standing next to all evening and one that will appreciate it.
Mine was of the "shit tanked"-use me to get posters (after demanding i leave the line, then hand me $100 to buy you posters, then when i give $$ back, cut me in line and buy them yrself)-leave without paying or making arrangements for 2nd tkt exchange-ignore my vm/text until 6pm on the night i'm supposed to go on yr spare variety

damn, that does really suck...
i guess i just don't really see how you can know much about a person from a written plea for a ticket that may or may not be true, so why force them to do it? maybe I just feel sorry for those that put in the effort to write a long story and then dont get chosen...at least its not a "send me your pic, and I'll choose the hottest" thread... There were a few of those for the Vic...

I think you can tell a lot more from style than content.
of course that route will make you look like a desperate virgin

While you can't talk at a show, you can always talk before it.. I had a good long conversation with a guy who generously let me buy his extra for EV at Massey Hall for the night two show.. Turned out he's an engineer (I'm also working on becoming an engineer right now), and we had a nice conversation before the show started. For me, if my number ever becomes something desirable, or if they decide to abandon seniority (which I hope they don't do despite my 357xxx), I will do something exactly like this to decide who my extra should go to. Seems a hell of a lot more fair than first come first serve - and WAY more than 'choose the hottest'... no matter how much I may need a girl right now

I vote for eye candy all the way (j/k, ed's all the eye/ear candy i need) and someone who can handle their liquor and others substances and knows when to stfu
I always went on 1st response and vibe from the convo, until maui it never failed me...and although i would have made a different choice i still had an AMAZING time and met some incredible people and managed by shear luck to get front row hon 1 and a seat behind mark richards (awesome guy!!) hon 2 (only bad thing was the accident which thank god everyone's ok and joni and stu are recovering..)
Good luck. Go with yr gut and have an amazing time at the show(s)

I have an extra for each night in Chicago. I have a very low fanclub # that should give me great seats. (for example... 5th row at MSG last year).
Basically, unless someone I already know decides they want to take a trip to Chicago, which seems pretty unlikely at the moment, the extras will be up for grabs.
Feel free to pm me now... but I won't be deciding until early August probably. I'll post something closer to then.
I'm looking for a few sentences or even a paragraph or two. I will probably pick a different person for each night but I haven't decided for sure yet. Tickets will be face value of course!
Thanks to everyone who submitted and good luck to all that were not selected. Don't worry. There will be tickets available.
