Ticket Opinion ?

So my friend and I always both get a pair of Fan Club tix to each show. We keep the 2 better seats and give the other 2 to our friends. My friends can 't to one of the Philly shows. Would trading the tickets to someone one on this forum for the 1998 Camden Show Poster (my first show ever) meet the PJ moral code of ticket conduct? The poster is arguably worth more than the tix....But our numbers are both sub 190xxx so the tickets are usually pretty good.

are you saying you want to trade tix for the poster?
pretty close as far as monetary value goes

but personally, you should not buy 10c tix unless that member can go
    especially for this short tour

Buying tickets for a show you aren't going to to trade for a poster seems pretty weak to me.

You'd be taking tickets away from someone that actually wants to go to the show and sit in 10c seats.

If you have to come on here and ask ... I'm guessing you didn't feel 100% comfortable in the first place .... which probably tells you all you need to know about this idea.

    Here's what you do.

Let's say the tickets are $175 and the poster is $200.

Have someone at the show give you $175 and you hand them the tickets.

You take the $175 and give it to a poster seller, plus $25 more dollars, and they hand you the poster.

    ...done, right?

This way you sold them at cost, and did not profit.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I agree, considering this small tour and the likely huge demand for 10c members for the limited shows, philly especially, I would not take another fans chance at seats for a poster. If it is a full scale tour with easy access to all shows it would be another thing.

And, correct. Buying tickets you have no intention of using is weak. It's one thing if two friends try to buy tickets at the same time in case the other gets shut out, but doing it to gain buying power of a poster is doing it for profit (unless the value of the tickets, whether row 2 or row 42 are equal to the poster's legitimate aftermarket value).

    two tickets per person

using a friends # to get more is the immoral act what you do with them after is established by the 10C policy

    Ten Club Policy:
Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and revocation of all future ticket benefits.

Ten Club doesn't allow the reselling of tickets.
They haven't gotten on our case about it, when being sold for face, because sometimes EXTRAS just happen.
What you are looking to do is different. You're looking to buy tickets to give you leverage.
I'd recommend not buying extras to personally benefit. If you happen to get extras, sell them for cash, face value.

Keep it simple, and the Ten Club won't cut off your membership.

My 2 cents, if you do not plan on attending the show, do not buy tickets. You would be shutting out someone who could have gone to the show. If the face value of the tickets is close to the value of the poster, just buy the poster.
