    venue "season ticket" holders

businesses can get deals with venues to obtain tickets year round, then they give away tickets to employees as perks or basically do whatever they want with the tickets.

    In this case, sell them

Or individuals purchase season tickets (at least here in the UK...)

some venues do allow season ticket holders access to tickets. I've also been convinced that ticketmaster directly sells block of tickets to brokers. No matter how much they blame captcha technology, I think they do directly sell to brokers. Hell they started their on broker company.

allthough its not on TM's website yet.. so a bit early for those.. must be the season ticket holders.
