so what if this was one of your relatives would it not bother you that after you paid good money for a plot they were dug up dismembered and god knows what else. Then sold to someone else for pure profit. If that doesn't bother you then you got some real issues bro. Whatever happened to respect for the dead ? :?0 -

Not at all. I respect the dead in my thoughts, actions, and memories. The flaccid pile of flesh they left behind means nothing and I don't give a shit if it's in the dirt or being used for life-saving transplants and research.0 -
man you guys are fucked up. I hope your only joking0

I'm not remotely joking. I don't give a damn what they use my body for after I'm dead. Chop the fucker up and farm it out to universities for the good of medicine. I don't care. Not like I need it anymore.0 -
Did you even read the article? :?0

Yeah. The fact that they were defrauding people and posing a health hazard bothers me. But my outrage goes no further than that. To me, it's no diff from a restaurant not meeting health codes or guy taking your money for a product and skipping town with the money.0 -
I am not in any way religious, but if I buried a loved one and found out about this I would be IRATE!!!
I has nothing to do with life after death, what you think of yourself when you die...it's just fucked up in my opinion!
I suppose I don't care what happens to me when I die, but the last thing I want is to go to the cemetery of a loved one and find their dismembered corpse laying in a pile!0 -

You wouldn't mind seeing a family member in a dozen pieces laying in a pile?
So the second one dies, we should just toss them into a wood-chipper and be done with it?0 -
I'll have no worries for none of this I plan on getting cremated and spread my ashes over Fenway Park. That park's been around for forever.

Same here... cremated and do whatever with my ashes. In fact, i really don't care if my ashes are used for kitty litter.
...
As for the original post... it is tragic for the survivors... and another reason why cremation sounds like a much better option for me.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!
Hail, Hail!!!0 -
I plan on being cremated also and having my ashes discarded in to the ocean. Its a hell of a lot cheaper and I really dont want to rot away in the ground, besides I fucking hate bugs.0

Actually yes. The whole burial thing is a waste of time and money and valuable land space.
And the family members were hid in the back. If you went to visit, you didn't see your family member's dismembered remains. You saw their intact grave like you left it. Their body was elsewhere and someone else's was in its place but who gives a shit? It's all the power of delusion anyway, so you can sit and have a convo with an imaginary friend and feel better about yourself. Works just as well whether they're in that hole or not.0 -
I just plain find the story a bit disturbing. I wonder about cemetery workers and how they can do this without it affecting their conscience. I plan on going the green burial route. No casket for me, just a biodegradable body bag and a tree as a marker. I don't understand the need for embalming, wooden caskets, etc. Cremation is a good idea too.0

When i die I want my relatives to put a feather headdress on me, put a few coats of lacquer on me, and prop me up outside a barber shop... then film reactions of customers going in until the stench becomes too much.0

Same for me. Though I hear the green burial sites are hard to find.0
