    Actually there is a way of making this happen - using the 'sweepstake' model. Basically if everyone who is interested posts me £50 / 50 Euros, and einatshaul sets an obscure question for people to answer (like 'how many days before the official release will backspacer leak?', or maybe something swifter like 'how many forum visitors are going to be online at one time on July 13th.....?'

    I'll collect the money for you guys and once we have selected the winner I will make sure they get their all expenses paid trip to seattle. I suggest we cover flight, accommodation, spending money, 2 x tickets, and a gift voucher for spending at Archie McPhee.

    Obviously if for any reason we can't identify a winner, then I will ensure the collection is not wasted and is passed over to a reputable charity.

    What do you think? I need a few hundred volunteers

    actually, it could work! Although I would suggest selecting a more reputable neutral member of this board to coordinate it rather than myself. It would be a bit like leaving Keith Richards in charge of the methadone cupboard I think!
