Ben is touring with them, what does that mean?

Are we set for some of the best shows of all time here? Ben harper has always seemed to me to be almost a person out of time, he clearly possesses the spirit in him. One of the big reasons I even investigated the music Ben was because Pearl Jam had talked so much about him.

I am pumped. I havent given White Lies for Dark Times its full listen or full due. I kind of like how he seems to be going in a new and different direction musically.

Often times it seems to me, or rather all the time, it seems like everything is complete lies, and utterly worthless. And the only thing that seems to quiet that voice in my head and that calms me down, is going to a good show.

Saw them and heard them for a first time a few weeks ago and they were amazing. Can't believe how lucky you people are.

Saw R7 at Bonnaroo...definitely going to make for an extremely bad ass evening for you guys. They are a great band and Ben is da man
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
  • Just got home from a Ben Harper & Relentless 7 show a couple of minutes ago. Very impressive. A lot of new stuff - so I'm glad that I've had a good chance to listen to their new album. I'm really hoping that I get a chance to see them again soon...it would be nice to see them open up in Toronto.

I just picked up Ben Harper and Relentless7's "White Lies for Dark Times" tonight and it's really fucking good!! Nothing really like his previous work. But this rocks more than his previous stuff does.

These shows are gonna be sweet!!

It means that they're friends, so naturally it's a good choice for openers. Pearl Jam generally has openers that they're close with personally ( Ben Harper, MMJ, Supersuckers, KOL)

It also means that these are going to be awesome shows. Nothing cryptic behind it really.

means he will perform before pearl jam takes the stage. sometimes ed might come out before him for a couple acoustic songs.

    hope that helps.

    have fun.

I think they are in all locations except for Philly.

    From the main PJ page....

"Ben Harper and Relentless7 will open all dates, except for the Spectrum shows. All dates are subject to change."

I miss the Innocent Criminals, how do the R7 compare? Any insights would be great as I haven't bought the new CD or seen them live. Have seen Ben and IC several times though. Thanks

I don't believe an opener has been confirmed for Chicago. Ben Harper does not list those shows on his website, unlike the other PJ dates

You are correct sir, I just did. I am way more pumped not. I didn't really appreciate the "Both sides" era from him. I dig the new stuff. Enjoy!
