Could anyone get the 1-2 rows and 9-10 rows?

Is that how I am supposed to read that?

That, although hugely unlikely, one could presumably be pleasantly surprised on show day, and end up getting either 1-2 row seats or 9-10 row seats even if their 10 club number isnt low?

    That's how it works. :)

    exactly.
ANY 10c member, NO matter their #....if they possess a 10c ticket for a show, has just as equal a shot as anyone else of scoring a pair of 'lucky tickets' within the first, second, ninth or tenth rows.

i actually managed to get lucky in mansfield last year.....scored 10th row center. i also know a few people who scored front row at MSG. my oh my oh my tho....how i would LOVE to score front-row center one day, on my 10c # to boot.....and who knows? now, someday, it *could* possibly happen! sure, it may not either :P....but i just LOVE the fact that it is a possibility, for ANYone. tres cool of 10c and PJ. 8-)

i wondered the same. also made me wonder if they were abandoning the idea...glad they haven't. tis a shame for those 2 cities, but i am sure 10c has their reasons. it definitely is an additional layer of work for them, so who knows why those dates missed the lottery? glad to see it's back tho!

l like the lottery. i have a decent number, 167xxx, but its not good enough to ever get me right up front. And if somebody has a really low number, the chances are that since they have been in the club so long, im sure they have had plenty of shows where they had amazing seats. Now everyone has that chance.

damn front row would be an incredible surprise

  • Is that really how it works? I had no idea. I've attended all the Gorge shows and have had no worse than 8th row (I've been a member for a REALLY long time) and once in Portland I was lucky enough to get 1st row. I just assumed it was because of my seniority.

Also, I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or just because more 10 clubbers from home cities go to shows. But I won the lottery in Philly and 4 of the other people who won the lottery that night in my row were also from Philly. And 2 of my friends from Boston won the lottery in Boston. So maybe being from the area helps too.

These theads always make me a little sad for you guys. Over here in Europe I can get a decent spot at every show even with my ridiculously high # in the mid 300000s. Just takes some good old standing in line all day. :) (no offense and/or teasing intended at all)
  • i got front row in the lottery at columbia last year. honestly i just about cried/threw up when i got my tickets.

funnily enough i had joked with my girlfriend about ending up in the second row on the drive down.

    i don't think so.
everyone that i know who won first row at MSG was a 'foreigner', whether from another country or state. not to say no NYers won, but of the handful i do know who won...none were NYers. and yes, me - a NYer - won in mansfield....so again...i think it's entirely RANDOM.

i think what may account for your point is simply....there are probably the most amount of people in attendance who actually live in the state/area. as much as people like to bitch about people coming from 'all over' for 'their' hometown shows, while sure, there ARE many people who do that.....still, i bet the vast majority ARE actually hometowners. course, i can't prove it, just my own guess...

as much as people seem to have a difficult time accepting it ;), i personally believe 10c 100%....that when they say RANDOM...they mean, RANDOM!

    Here's the big question...

If your number is 85xxx, and you'd otherwise get 3rd row, is it possible you'll "win" the lottery for row 9? ...getting demoted, so to speak?
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

It's a fanfuckin'tastic surprise when it happens. :o You get escorted to your seats and there is nothing in front of you except dumb, beefy guards and STAGE. When you turn around and look back - a sea of seats as far as the eye can see. This question was raised when they first tried the lottery for these rows. I'm pretty sure someone got a response from 10 Club explaining that those who would normally get seats in rows 3-8 based on their seniority would not be included when selecting people to get tickets for rows 9-10.
