I don't know how I missed this the first time around when the announcement was first posted. I guess I was too excited to read everything. How much you wanna bet the Halloween show in Philly will happen?

why did they put this at the end then...

"At this time, there are no more North American dates to be added to the current tour. However, keep your eyes on the horizon ... Australia and New Zealand are next. Details to come soon."

    I'm confused...that doesn't mean it's the full tour schedule?

I think what they meant here is no additional cities but potentially other dates in the same cities.

The key phrases are "At this time" and "at a later date". So its not really a contradiction.

i assume the australia/NZ announcement will get made in the next week... maybe with a HI show... but they probably wont stick any other US shows on that announcement... let them enjoy their moment

then i assume theyll announce additional shows to a few of the locations already announced... and hopefully a couple TX shows... and that should nicely round out the concert season... we'll get some time to soak in the new album and they'll do some more dates in the spring maybe? - depending on that baby ive been hearing about

The Halloween show at the Spectrum has to happen. I've already decided what costume I am going to wear.

They better! I'm in the same boat with work...I'd much rather do fri/sat than wed/fri. Plus, Halloween is my bday! I'm gonna be very upset if they anounce a show on the 31st after the presale.

    i really, really hope so.
a stretch, but man how i would LOVE PJ in NY in the autumn! 8-)

a few hawaii dates, mid-week, the first week of december would be EXTREMELY tempting as well!
*or conversely, return to seattle then with a couple more shows to finish off 2009 - would totally BE THERE, no dreaming necessary!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

In 2006 they definitely only listed a Tuesday Bay Area show, and when that sold out instantly, they opened up the Sat/Sun shows. Make sure the weekdays sellout before releasing the weekends....
    [sic] happens
  • Someone a while ago posted that they were trying to work out playing at the E-Center in West Valley, Utah (basically Salt Lake City) on September 25th or something like that. I'm not saying its even likely to happen, but there have also been posts regarding Boise and it wouldn't be too far off the beaten path for them to play the Seattle shows on the 21st & 22nd then head over to Boise, then Salt Lake, then continue down to Los Angeles for the shows starting on the 30th.

Again, I have zero sources other than posts others have made, and I very much doubt they would take care of smaller markets like Salt Lake and Boise before they take care of the bigger cities (Phoenix, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta etc). And I think Portland and San Francisco would make a bit more sense within that time frame. I'm just hoping and preparing for a big let down.

I was surprised not to see Santa Barbara in there, especially considering the proximity to LA. There were rumours a while back about possibly 2 SB shows. I wouldn't be surprised to see one added later on.

Yeah, that S.B. rumor had them playing a Thursday and Friday.

The 24th and 25th of September line up nicely. BUT, with LA getting 4 shows it is more probable that they just went in a different direction.

how is that a contradiction? :?
AT this time, there are no additional dates....but the potential for additional dates remains. not a contradiction.

i know jack about sports, but i've seen mentioned now a few times the NBA schedule or sumthin'...so they may be waiting in that to see what dates open up for them to utilize, they may also wait and see how some dates sell and then add additionals....they may simply be hammering out deals for potential other dates....and of course....they could plan for shows outside the US, besides Oz and NZ....i mean, the choices are myriad. no contradictions...

  • There's a lot of holes in the dates. For example why are they playing in LA October 1st, then waiting 5 days to play again...3 times??? Why are they waiting 2-3 weeks before they go to Philly for only 2 dates and then all the way back to Seattle? Doesn't make sense

I didn't see the note about additional dates either.

That's good news because none of these recent West Coast dates are really ideal...
