I was driving and listening to 102.5 in Tampa FL. After playing 2 PJ songs the DJ started talking about PJ and let the cat out of the bag about them coming to Tampa in 08 on tour....confirmed for sure.

Just thought i would share!!!

cool. Thanks for the info. I wonder if it will be a co headline tour or if it will be like the AIC/VR shows were Alice comes on at like 7ish and plays for an hour? If I remember right that's about how long they played on the VR tour from post on here.
At least PJ is coming to the South. I figured they would probably do a trek of cities either before or after Bonaroo.

i know it's sacreligious, but i kind of don't like Alice in Chains. They could play with the Carpenters when Karen Carpenter was at her most hideously annorexic and i'd still be there, so anybody they tour with doesn't matter.
    I like bands.

I love how the DJs know this "confirmed" news, but we still have to wait to hear something from the 10Club

If this is true, pretty cool. I saw Alice in Chains play with Velvet Revolver at the Santa Barbara Bowl last year. I was worried I'd be let down with the new frontman, but I had a really good time.

i do not like alice either, but it shows pj's loyalty to help their friends even with cantrell's unacceptable touring partners. he toured with creed! that would be reason enough to sever ties. im joking really.

really...hmmmm, on the AIC website under tour calender ther is this message:

Alice in Chains are currently taking a break from touring and there are currently no plans for the band to tour in 2008. To stay on top of any changes to those plans, please sign up for Dirt, the band’s official online newsletter.

mid-week can not come quick enough!!!

in my experience djs usually don't know much more than us common folk. the only difference is when they hear a rumor than can broadcast it over the airwaves, rather than type it up on a fan forum.

I saw Alice In Chains open for Velvet Revolver in August 2007 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA. Alice In Chains had a fairly long set. It was about an hour, or slightly longer if I recall correctly.

I am not a fan of Alice In Chains, but whatever it takes for a Pearl Jam tour is fine with me. With all the talk about a New Kids On The Block reunion, maybe Pearl Jam will have them open on a few dates. :)

let's just get chris cornell on this wagon and call it a 90's reunion show.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

If AIC tour with PJ that's gonna be one bad ass show. W/O Layne no doubt PJ will headline.
