Many bands opt out of touring for a year once in a while. Pearl Jam definitely seem to enjoy themselves on stage.. if it's as special of a tour as last year's, we're all in for yet another treat!

They are lazy. There are 365 days in a year. They're lazy because they don't do REAL tours anymore, just these little pockets of select cities, and they're the same fuckin cities usually. How many times have they played in Philly? Now include NEAR Philly since it's easy to get around from state to state in that part of the country. Lots and lots, every year.

If you live where I live, we get fucked every tour. But I can list for you many other bands that play in my state or at least driving distance nearby every 2 or 3 years. Pearl Jam would not be on that list.

I know I know, quit bitching. It just sucks that every time a "tour" is announced for the last 3+ years, I get excited then find out none of the dates are doable for me.

See you in 2010, Pearl Jam! Although, probably not! Next year we'll get TWO cities for the "tour."

Agreed. It is their fucking job to play music. I wish I could go to my job a few days a year.

We do. Every fucking year. And easy for you to say when they play multiple shows in your back yard every tour.

They come to Texas once in 6 years and it is at a festival that is still 300 miles away.

Note that I am very happy to have the ACL festival, but would it have killed them to play in Dallas or Houston before jetting out of here back to LA?

Oh wow, thanks! I hadn't thought about getting on a plane!

I know there's not a huge demand here, last time they played was 2000. But they could play in any number of places that are doable to be able to drive to. But...they don't!

I just can't justify spending $1000 on two tickets, two plane tickets, hotel, rental car, etc to go to ONE show somewhere, not to mention taking 2 or 3 days off work since they're all during the week.

    Thanks for the advice though.
