They have yet to announce Aussie. I figure they'll next announce Aussie, then they'll hit East Coast sometime after that.

Let's face it, this band has gotten very lazy. 4 cities is hardly a "tour."

If you don't live in Washington (good to see Seattle on there), Cali, Chicago, New England/NY/Philly/Boston, you've been fucked since 2003!

And what is with all the weeknights??? You only play 4 cities, people want to travel to see you, we can't all take a week off work to go see shows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

So, is anything going to happen between Oct 9 and 28th? Maybe????????????? Sure would be nice to know of if the "potential additional dates" are just extra shows in the same 4 cities (don't hurt yourselves there, guys... I can name 10 bands that have 20 years on you and go out and actually TOUR).

I would think that getting venues booked and their availability going into the start of the NBA and NHL seasons, not to mention other shows like the circus, other artists, etc are booked more than 6 months ahead of time is what limits the "tour". I'd bet on a full N. American Tour in the Spring/Summer 2010, similiar to the Riot Act Tour.

I wonder if they are just done doing it like they used to. I miss the old days where they would announce the tour all at once... all legs and most of the shows. Sure, they would add a couple here and there after the announcement.

I remember looking down the legs for the cities where I would drive to see them, St. Louis, KC, Champaign, Chicago, sometimes Atlanta, Memphis, etc. I remember having time to figure out where I would go and make plans before tickets went on sale. (5 days before tickets go on sale feels like a lifetime now, however!) I have started to wonder if they are just not going to do a tour like that anymore.

I'm one of the lucky ones who gets to see them night 1 in Chicago, but there's a lot places out there they haven't been to in 6 or even 8+ years.

I'd really like to know if the band has just made a decision to not tour like that anymore and we can expect a 'great north american tour' of 10 dates, all the usual places with multiple shows there. It would save me a lot of time in waiting for announcements.

This may come off as a complaint, but I'm not really complaining. Like I said, I get to go see them in Chicago and I can't wait. I'm really just curious if this is how it's going to be from here on out.

Which is why it wouldn't be announced before the other dates have a chance to sell. Many people would rather see a Saturday show than a Wednesday or Friday show... but since they want to sell the most they can, they won't mention 10/31 until they've gotten everyone they can to buy the other dates.

They have to do a full tour in 2010...no band puts out a new album and only plays a couple of shows in support of it?!?!

I don't think that they are lazy it is just that they all have families now and that prevents them from touring as much as they used to.

I don't see a problem with weeknights. Hell, half of the concerts I see are on weeknights. Take a day off of work. If they only toured on weekends, they wouldn't get anywhere.

I am kind of frustrated, though. They seem to only play the major markets and that is it. I can see why they want to play the Spectrum this year, but Philly had two nights just last year when nearly every other market hasn't seen the band since 2003 / 2006.

I just don't understand why they can't sprinkle in a Milwaukee or Indy or Detroit show around Chicago, or a Cleveland / Buffalo / Pittsburgh date in around Toronto and Philly, or play Raleigh/Atlanta after Philly or Denver / St. Louis on their way to Philly. All of those markets have been largely ignored for 3 years, but Philly is getting 4 shows in 2 years? Jesus Christ, it's a shithole!

They have to do a full tour in 2010...no band puts out a new album and only plays a couple of shows in support of it?!?!

I don't think that they are lazy it is just that they all have families now and that prevents them from touring as much as they used to.

    i think this band would.

I agree..no way they dont play Boston, NY etc... they will tour in 2010.. I think this is similar to Bonnarroo..they played the festival and did a small tour around it. Same this year, few festivals and a small tour around those

I don't think they're lazy either. Far from it. It's just they've resorted to really only playing the major markets.

Amen! Detroit could use a show. You would yhink they'd like to help out cities/states that are struggling. I'm not real sure how a PJ show would help, but I'd like it.

in 2010.. kind of a letdown with the lack of shows. Was expecting many more. Oh well, cant wait for the new album tho!! wish I lived near one of the cities with the shows but with 3 kids and another on the way, looks like no PJ for me in 09..

They have yet to announce Aussie. I figure they'll next announce Aussie, then they'll hit East Coast sometime after that.

they didn't have a new record last year. i guess they are banking on target commercials to sell it instead of concerts. how things change...
