Hartford 08...story from the show, who was there?

Ok, so this is a long story, I'll make it as short as possible. 4th of July weekend, I'm at a friend's family party at his house in NJ. So I'm talking with this guy and were just shootin the shit and talking about music, and he goes "Man, you seem like a Pearl Jam guy to me." So then I proceed to tell him how I'm the biggest fan that any of my friends know, blah blah blah. He then tells me how his niece (I think) was really sick in 08, and in some make a wish foundation thing wished that she could meet Eddie and the boys. He said the whole band went to meet her, and then gave her tickets to go see the show in Hartford and had a song dedicated to her (I think he said it was Leash?). I'm pretty sure I remember her name but i dont wanna go just giving it out, but was anyone there for this? I thought it was a pretty great story, he just kept telling me about how nice Eddie and the guys were for honoring her wish.

    yes it was great to see in person! and there was a story about it in the most recent issue of DEEP, and she talked about the experience! very cool.

    the show was incredible. amazing setlist. electrifying energy from both band and crowd.

    Yeah it was during Leash. A few of us were staying at the hilton hotel and after the show when we made it back to our hotel her and her parents were sitting outside and we had a bit of a chat with her. Dancing during leash wasn't part of the plan :P

    what a great show and setlist! my wife and I remeber Katie up on stage and then reading her story in Deep. I smile whenever I hear "For Katie" on the boot.
