Backspacer's so-called tracklist

1. see my friend
2. got some
3. the fixer
4. johnny guitar
5. just breathe
6. amongst the waves
7. unthought known
8. supersonic
9. speed of sound
10. force of nature
11. the end

Do you honestly believe that this is the true/final tracklist to Backspacer?

I have a feeling that this will be a 13-14 song album. Just a feeling, that's all.
11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/09

    1. see my friend - sounds like a line from another Pearl Jam song
    2. got some
    3. the fixer
    4. johnny guitar - a movie starring Joan Crawford (1954)
    5. just breathe - you already have "Breath"/Prodigy song "Breathe"
    6. amongst the waves
    7. unthought known
    8. supersonic - JJ Fad song and Oasis song (Presidents OTUS and Jamiriquai)
    9. speed of sound - Coldplay song
    10. force of nature - movie starring Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock (Forces of Nature)
    11. the end - The Doors song

I'd say it's real...maybe there'll be some bonus tracks for 10C members or something.

I don't really think there's any reason to not believe this is correct but i guess we'll see soon enough.

maybe not the most original titles but that won't mean a thing if the songs are good

True, but why "The End" for the last song on the album. Duh, we know it's the end. That's two songs with "The" in the beginning, whereas no other PJ song has a definite article in the front of the song title.
    11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/09

Ed played "The End" during his solo shows, so it's legit.

EDIT: the song is legit, i dunno about the whole tracklisting.

im still hoping its not... not because of the short length... but because those song titles are fuckin stupid... obviously ill get over it if the songs are great... but none of them are something that i wanna hear people shouting out at a concert... even with the ones ed already played solo, do we know thats the official title or did we just make the connection based on the rumored tracklisting?

Maybe some non album B-sides to singles for a change.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

yeah, that's a good point... it's sort of a round robin... but hearing the lyrics, it would make sense. who knows?! :( 8-)

And I hope the album length is more than 36 minutes. That's like 70% of an album. Some of the titles are cool sounding, but come on, Speed Of Sound, Supersonic. The two names are basically the same idea. Supersonic is the speed of sound.

it's still a possibilty. the lyric "See My Friends" was also referenced in an article a while back. I just have a hunch this is correct. What kind of magazine would run an article like that if it were completely bunk news? A shitty one i guess. Also, Speed of Sound was debuted after the article was released so...

The little shock i felt after seeing these song titles is nothing compared to what i felt when the S/T album cover was released.

yah seriously! makes me wonder if 2 rumored titles for the same song didnt get added on there... plus i just cant get past the fact that theyre already taken by oasis and coldplay... i know you cant expect them to come up with something completely original for every title but choosing 2 very well known song titles by 2 very well known (shit) bands is annoying...

johnny guitar? a ramone tribute i assume? sounds like it could be a "wiggles" song

and this all came from a german source right? now i know the cold war is over... but :P
could just be a mistranslation or something... still holding out hope

Well, Got Some, The Fixer, Speed of Sound, Unthought Known, and the End are all legit, so I'd say there is a great chance the rest are accurate as well.
