Well, damn! Today, against my better judgement, I tempted fate and did NOT drink out of my lucky coffee mug. The result? Predictably, a loss.

Anyone else got lucky mugs, shirts, hats, underwear, places on the couch, etc?

Back when I played baseball...traveling fast/slow pitch softball I had to have a wad of doublemint chewing gum wrapped around sunflower seeds. I don't know what I would've done without my pack of David sunflower seeds.

I definitely have little superstitions when I watch my Eagles games :-) I have different jerseys/shirts that I wear depending on if it's a home or away game...or which team we're playing. I have a certain glass that I'll drink out of, and certain food that I have to eat during the games :-)

As a fan I have a lucky plastic orioles cup five beers (one for each quarter and one victory/sadness beer) and my TO and Pacman jerseys (hopefully he gets resigned) for Cowboys games, and Miller Light and Gallardo and Villaneuva t-shirts for Brewer games.

When I pitched in college I would smoke a half bowl the night before a game, cut my finger and toenails, put on my socks, pants, shirt, and cleats left to right, ate a mcdonalds fish fillet and chicken sandwich for lunch, played Like a Rolling Stone on the way to the park, stepped over the foul line between innings, filled a 32 oz. gatorade bottle with water and would only drink enough so that by the end of the game I would be finishing the bottle and would always take off my glove when the ball was in play to a fielder with 2 outs. Yeah I'm a fucking weirdo.

I crack open the beer on first puck-drop. Clearly works well - Flyers haven't won in my lifetime.

That is a LOT of jager shots.

I don't have any regular superstitions. I'll usually do it on the fly. If whatever team I'm rooting for is playing good, I won't get out of my seat or change the channel at commercials or some dumb shit like that. They always say players are so superstitious....fans are just as bad.

Not counting the playoffs. But you didn't have to worry about that with the Islanders this year. And the Mets arent looking so good this season... :o

Very true. Once they get healthy, the Mets should make a run here in the second half.

Definitely. Or talk about a win before a game is over. Recipe for disaster.

That too. I was at the game where A.J. Burnett had one going for five innings and I've never seen a no-hitter in person. The idiot next to me starts bringing it up in between innings, looks at me weird when I'm tell I'm superstitious and sure enough the Mets get their only hit of the game right after.

Kind of a big sacrfice on my part but I don't go to any Rockets playoff games or important games. I'm pretty sure I don't bring them good luck. I have been to more games than I can count and I think I have only been to two that they have won.
