  • No problemo! I don't have either yet, but hope to soon. You haven't heard the album yet?! If you're holding out for the real deal, well Kudos to you my friend! I can assure you it's well worth the wait. My Rough Trade order should be here by the end of the week, I hope.

I've heard the clip of Highway Kind and Sunrise and that's it. Not even the clips of the rest.
  • New album is great, I wrote up a very positive review for it on my site. Really digging the lyrics, my favorites so far are All The Way Down and Can't Catch A Train.

Looks like Sunrise is going to be available tomorrow on the US release. Check out track 14. That just leaves Highway Kind....

  • Yea I plan on buying Sunrise tomorrow morning off of Amazon US. And yes, that just leaves damn 'ol 'Highway Kind'. Every damn site I've seen it on has geographical restrictions, so I still don't have it yet. It's available on several site overseas, including iTunes UK. If someone has a nice, juicy mp3 of 'Highway Kind', can you please PM me? Thanks!

I'm just listening to Some Misunderstanding at the moment, fuck......what a song, I'm almost at a loss for words, absolutely sublime.

Wait till you get to All The Way Down and Shadows Fall :) . Those two along with Some Misunderstanding and Can't Catch That Train are my tops. Still haven't heard Highway Kind yet though...

Making my way through the rest of the album now, damn, I was not expecting it to be this good. Don't get me wrong, I liked the last record, but this one is incredible.

Is this album available in stores in the US? According to amazon, the only hard copy version is an expensive import. Do I need to buy the mp3 album to get it here?

No hard copies avaiable in the US as of now. Either buy the MP3 or the import but buy it. I think this is one of the best albums I have heard in several years. I can't stop listening.
  • God, this album is incredible. I haven't compared track listings yet but what is available in the US that isn't on the UK version, just Sunrise? I'm super pumped for the gig on Thursday... it's gonna be amazing.

Sunrise is the bonus track for the US release and Highway Kind is the bonus track on the UK release. Everything else is the same. I love the whole album and Highway Kind is an incredible track. This is the best new album I have heard in a very long time. Well worth the wait
  • going to see them tonight in a little over an hour. very excited!

though i have been reading their set is under an hour long.. oh well, it will be my third time seeing mark in THREE different bands lol (twilight singers, gutter twins, soulsavers). when i saw him with the twilight singers he sang "where did you sleep last night" :o

i will be attending the cleveland show with 4 friends who really arent familiar with soulsavers or mark lanegan. turned it into a nice saturday night date with friends. plan on eating/drinking at the local eateries and bars around the place beforehand. dont forget to visit Big Fun across the street from grog shop, its a really wacky toy store if you have never been there. the new cd is great, and im excited to hear them live!

ill buy anyone a beer who is going to cleveland on here. im kinda bent on wether or not i want this show to be a big turnout or not. might be nice to enjoy the show with some intimacy, but not so good for the band. just out of curiosity i checked tickets by trying to order 50(max) and it said there werent that many available, so i went to 25 and it would allow. this show might be close to selling out, maybe the only show yet to sell out. the place is small btw. pm me if you are going

  • HOLY FUCK!!!

    details to come... :ugeek:
  • ok.. so i went to the show and there were only about 50-75 people. TOPS. my girlfriend and i showed up about 15 minutes before soulsavers went on stage and we were able to walk right on up to the front, just left of center. they played brilliantly and didn't say a word to the crowd except at the end when Mark thanked us for coming out.

They were off the stage before i could hold out my record to have them sign. started to take the setlist that was taped to the floor but their roadie ran up and said, "WE REUSE THOSE!". jesus... little bummed but there were still options.

we left the venue and began to wait by the back entrance. a VERY nice security guard for the venue talked with us and he even gave us the backstage sign that said "soulsavers" on it. (we later gave that to the only other person that was standing with us. her name is Lacie and she was also very nice). he also told us that mark lanegan had already gotten on the bus.

so the band members began walking out and the drummer signed my "Revival" 7" record i brought with me. i had a black sharpie marker at the ready too. (never go to a concert without one!). the girl keyboardist was next to sign. then the bass player. he was missing some front teeth and was VERY nice and told us he was going to make sure everyone signed it. so he brought it back to the bus and had the 2nd guitarist sign and MARK FUCKING LANEGAN SIGNED IT TOO!!!!! i was so stunned when he brought it back with mark's signature! only one person left. Rich was last to come out and was sooo very gracious and kind and signed the record and even came back to give us some stickers!!

as we were leaving i said bye to Rich and he stopped what he was doing (which was loading up some equipment) and walked up to me and shook my hand. i thanked him again for a great show and coming to texas. i think that really made his day just the three of us waiting out back for him and his band to come out and thank them. he seemed a bit downhearted by the poor crowd turnout and even said so to us. but i think we put a smile on his face.

anyway, here are some pics of the record...
