Episode #8 is all about “You” and hopefully will provide some entertaining listening as you refresh the 10C site endlessly in the next day or two!

As always, thanks for all the great comments and suggestions – keep ‘em coming! I particularly welcome ideas for podcast #10 where I plan on playing TEN in its entirety, in order, and comprised of live tracks culled from the last 19 years. So I need ideas. What are the best live versions of the songs on TEN in your opinion? I also was wondering what the interest was in hearing covers of Pearl Jam songs on the podcast from either other known artists or fans of the band who are musicians themselves. I’ve had this idea suggested and I am sitting on the fence right now so convince me for or against it. Contact me via email or Facebook or leave a comment on this post. Thanks again!

My personal vote for "best off of TEn".... the Porch from Alpine Valley 2000... i don't know what it was, but the way Ed sings on it, especially the post-solo "bridge" was soooo moving to me.

could be because my balls are still frozen to that seat i was in (this was the 38 degree show or whatever...)

anyway..... that's my vote for best Porch ever.... the Dissident from this show made it onto Touring Band 2000 and i was like "whut?"

"you break laws & pay no fines...you get yours & then get mine??? fuck that!!" AWESOME.

as far as the TEN podcast, i'd suggest "Release" from the famous ATL show in 1994. that version still gives me chills.

I loved that part in that U recording too.

We agree on that Release recording too (but I've always been a little biased towards that show).

Just listened to this Porch. I hear what you're saying... Almost sounds like Ed's improvising in the vein of Dead Moon's "It's Ok" as they roar out of the solo. Nice. Definitely a strong contender! Thanks again for suggesting.

Still needing suggestions for podcast #10 where I'm playing TEN in its entirety with live cuts. Got great suggestions so far, but still need more -- especially for tracks like Once, Why Go, Oceans, Garden, and Deep.

yeah... not THAT memorable of a solo, considering it's Mike and Stone... but I really thought Ed was singing from the heart here.. it was fricking freezing... everybody was cold and rigid... but Eddie was like "this is my one life... one chance to live..."

cold or not, just LIVE DAMN IT. that's what i took away from that night... and it still send shivers to this day when I listen to it.

I know I already made a fatty post on your other thread suggesting Oceans from the Honolulu show, but then I saw you were still debating which you were going to choose for that song -- I'm sending in my vote again, just in case! I do have the official bootleg for that song, so I can send it to you, even if you don't end up using it. About when is the #10 show going to be on? I'd love to hear it

I gotcha and will definitely check out that Oceans. I've been cranking out a new podcast every Wednesday so #10 should be up 7/22! Thanks for the suggestion.
