She misses him

she misses him
even though she is looking right into his blank eyes
his alcohol soaked mind drips with anger and frustration
she misses him
even as she holds his head to her chest as he cries
his overwhelming fear of …………….nothing
she misses him
they way he used to laugh and dream out loud
his pain can be seen but not by all, he wears it well
she misses him
the way he could sing and make her smile
but now his voice just shakes
she misses him
all the while he stands right there by her side

    actually i need to thank you. this has been floating around in my head for a few days and after reading your piece it almost felt like yours was part two to this. at least thats what i hope happens anyway.

    WOW! This is really great. Though it has fantastic words and imagery, it goes beyond that straight to the feelings we long to ignore when faced with a situation like this.
