how have ppl heard the new album yet?

every where i look all over the net there are reviews and ppl making coments about what to expect and acting like they are in the know about every friggen song. im just curious, even on this board ppl seem to be saying how good so and so sounds this and that and im struggling to even here crappy recordings of anything. all i heard was got some (and i guess that's how the band wants it till sep 22) but the fact is, is that its either out there or its not and if ppl heard it then its out there... so where is it and how do ppl manage to hear the album when 99 % of us are left hanging desperately wondering how awesome this album will be... im not sure about everyone else but im busting my balls here in excitement at how good it seems to be

    The Fixer was leaked for a day (crappy partial audio)
    Got Some - On TV
    Speed of Sound (played at the Ed shows in Hawaii)
    Unthought Unknown Played last year on the solo tour.
    The End - Solo Tour

    I'm guessing that's how they heard it.

    'People' is a real word you know... I'll let you use it if you like, just this once ;)

    Personally, I only want to hear what the band want me to hear until 22nd September. However, I can understand your frustration... although I have to say, I don't know many people at all who have heard much more than some poor recordings of The Fixer, Unthought Unknown live or a clear version of Got Some from TV... Maybe i'm just not paying attention as i'm waiting for the official release :D
    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Some reviewers and people in the industry have been given access to it. I know that there was blogger that heard it and posted a few tidbits. There's a more in depth thread somewhere on it....

    cheers for that.... so if ed has played it live then how can i find it... and shouldnt it be ok if i here it if he has already played it live... does someone have it?

    He played it at his solo shows in Hawaii. You can't record Ed solo shows, therefore you won't see any postings of that stuff here.

    Ah no course not!! :lol: Like I said, I only listen to what the band want me to hear... that means that new songs at shows count ;)

    links? i've only heard of 2 reviews, one in German and one very early review.

    Yep! That's what I heard. Few already got copies, if you're in the record business. Let's see if there is trust in those guy's/girl's. Cause nothing has been leaked yet online. That's a good thing.

    Has it been officially confirmed yet that Target is going to be the exclusive chain store retailer for the new album? I also understand that the album will be made available to all independent record stores and through an online retailer (Amazon?).
