Just a question about this song's origination and why it is important. I know I could put this in the song meaning forum but figured it would get a better response here. I have liked it for a while, since i herd it on the 06 boot from honolulu but after hearing that ed played it at the solo show it made me wonder its origination. Thanx

yeah, i thought it was a cool read... the song is so beautiful. i don't know too much about the history of Hawai'i, but what I do know makes the song all the more haunting... i'm thrilled that the band and ed have covered it!
