Some Smile, Fuckin Up, or (heaven forbid) Indifference would be nice. I don't need to hear YL again.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

I don't Hard Sun will be played but I'd be willing to bet some Eddie solo stuff makes its way to the encores.
Could be No More rather than an ITW song though
A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.

perfectly put. i have started to dislike the song immensely b/c all it signifies to me is the end of the show - which is always a bummer :(
You hit the nail right on the head with your comment.
Ok well if not hard sun then something else. It's funny that people want the same thing and not something a little different. They must eat the same ceral every morning and think it cant get any better then this. LOL
I'd take a hard sun anyday!!!!!
Hard Sun, Pilate, Guaraneed, Society, No More, No Ceiling, Setting Forth, No Way, SMILE!!!!, and it could go on and on BECAUSE... BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECAUSE:
there are so many goddamn songs they should be playing instead of ending 90% of every show for the past 10 years with YLB... and the other 10% with Indifference, Baba, or Rockin..
SWITCH UP... for me personally, I am losing interest... 29 shows in 06... 2 in 08... maybe I'll stay for a song in 2010...
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

because, it is time to switch it up...
I hope they start playing Jeremy at the end of every show!
Ed didn't write hard sun, it is a cover... and I want to hear stone sing the backing vox!

Or hand out chips and dip at the end of the shows.

That's fine...but it had better be a PJ song.
Ed had his shows and I am sure he will have many, many more.
I don't want to hear Hard Sun as a closer.
I would love to hear it in the pre-set.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

But do you really want a show to stop in the middle of ylb?
I doubt security will let the show continue after I rip my ears off!
Not everyone has seen 26 shows in one year.
Why close with a cover that was recorded by the singer on a solo project.
Not cool.
I agree. I remember when YLB ended a show and it was nothing more than an eight year old B side, 90% of the audience didn't know it. I love it, it's PJ heritage, some people here behave like spoiled kids.
I could def. see them playing "Hard Sun" on the tour, but I don't know that they will close with it.
As far as "Ledbetter" goes, I've been to 3 shows and never heard it so it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to finally here it live. Though, of the 3 closers I have seen only "Baba" blew me away. The other 2 were "Soldier of Love" (kinda anti climactic) and "Rockin in the Free World" (watered down due to presence of Sleater Kenney).
I will be happy no matter what they play when I see them next month.
I love how people who didn't have the opportunity to see one of Ed's shows get all bent out of shape because he used a backing track for Hard Sun. I was there and it was fuckin' awesome. Those who didn't go need to stop whining about something they didn't even witness.

Its so perfect to end a show, I ended my wedding day on it....

Will be on foot but sure thing buddy.
I agree, YL is more fun. It's their signature closing song. Hard Sun deserves to be part of the main set anyways, if they ever decide to play it.
