Just got back from Maui...awesome show, Ed's voice felt like every christmas morning as a kid. The castle theatre was great and the vibe in the place matched the weather outside! My only negative aspect to the whole event and I just have to get this off my chest, was a couple douche bags in the merch line. It seems like some people will kill or start a fuckin riot if they dont get their precious posters or $35 T shirts. Im not sure if these two rejects were 10 clubbers or just two dorks from the mainland but take a chill pill. These rats tried to start a fight with me and told the merch lady that I just skipped the whole line and that I just got to the line, Even though I was there since 4pm and the first people at the complex mind you. The merch lady knew these two fuck ups were full of shit and let me in line first. I even tried to shake the one guys hand and just squash it but he was too busy playing pocket pool with himself. Losers, your gunna get your little poster and awesome t shirt so chill out and go ruin the vibe somehwere else. What a joke. The funny thing, they had more than enough posters for everyone to buy 4 if they wanted. My friend bought one right before Ed went on so no need to push and shove and cry. Sorry to bitch about 2 losers but the dude was wearing a little white fancy golf cap and smelled like shit. thanks for listening.

Has anybody ever experienced this type of B.S in a PJ merch line?

The merchandise line was CRAZY at MSG last year. You had to get a bracelet to get in to purchase a bracelet to buy a poster. They corraled everyone in one spot and then let 10 or so people in at a time...but in no specific order, no line. so me and this other girl got plastered up against the guard rail and couldn't move while a bunch of 300 lb guys tryed to bowl over us. I finally got the attention of a security guard and he helped us out. Then people were pushing in line, not letting people back out after they purchased. I was truly scared...if someone had fallen, they would've been seriously hurt. People are crazy. and ignorant sometimes. and for what, a poster.

  • Honolulu was super mellow. I've decided that I really like single file lines vs. the "every man for himself" line. People were chill and the merch people knew who was next at all times. No pushing and shoving so you had plenty of time to look at everything before making your mind up on what you wanted. Sorry to hear about your Maui experience...that sucks when you are in such a beautiful setting and some douchebag has to ruin it.
  • the front of the maui merchandise line went fine aside from some couple who had snuck up to the front and hid behind a nearby pillar until onsale time came - when the woman in charge asked who was 1st they popped out and raised their hands - the people who were actually on the line got a good laugh at them as the guy began barking out how "this is bullshit!" - odd pair - (somehow they blended in and ended up 5th or 6th anyway)

also some guy who looked like keith obermann was trying to sneak in by befriending people near the front

That sucks that happened. Some dude gave me his wristband for free and I got my poster for free. I picked up my poster at tower A.

That seems to be be the rule, for every 1000 people trying to enjoy the gig there's a couple of a-holes trying to ruin the good vibes, so just ignore them and delete the bad memories.
