and I hired a local band to play it since I'm friends with the bass player. He and I had talked, probably 3-4 months ago about them learning a song that I wanted to sit in and play with them. I suggested Thin Air since it's easy to pickup and seemed appropriate. Well I forgot all about it til the band was warming up and called me outside. Needless to say, that night was my first experience playing guitar in a band. I had to kinda teach them the song b/c they listened to it once but overall it went ok and I had a blast. It was one of the coolest things i've ever done and I couldn't imagine getting to do that on a regular basis. Those of you in bands, consider yourself lucky.
