Anyone get tickets for Detroit? I carted a number of pairs, but then kept getting unavailable errors.

Got one from my local shop. Really solid release, but I do wish the recording wasn't quite so lo fi. Obviously intended, but some songs sound a bit worse than others. Songs this good should be clean and crisp IMO

Thanks for this info.  I won't bother with buying a record that is low quality.  I can listen to mp3 of this if I want shitty.  Maybe my ears are just different than his, but a lot of the releases are muddy and recessed.  And I mean modern recordings like the live Raconteurs vault.  Honestly, it's terrible and there is no reason for that.  Contrast that with the KG work on Icky, the AP release of Elephant, Consolers of the Lonely, etc.  Those sound extraordinary, but then he'll release something that frankly sounds like ass.

I literally thought the rips listened to were low quality but I guess that’s the intended sound. Bomb out is actually unlistenable to my ears.

Production quality definitely varies from song. Odd choice. I’d love to hear him talk about that decision.

I’m one of those that isn’t normally much of a JW fan. Something has kept me from really getting deep into his music since the first WS album. But I’m about halfway through No Name and it FUCKING KILLS. Wow.

Some of the songs especially Bombing Out sound like an old stooges album.

The rats song has some harsh production too but nowhere near as bad as Bombing. And then some had some cleaner production. It’s weird honestly
