I bet this isn't a joke. This is completely in line with Jack's latest album. This Beefheart album is very polarizing and considered to be a classic by the artsy fartsy crowd. I'd be surprised if it was a joke.. but who knows.mcgruff10 said:

Trout Mask Replica is a historic album and a must have for a collection. Not everyone’s taste, but I love the release especially with the connection to Jack’s latest album. Very strange and hard for some to listen too.0

I like the album - I'm not artsy fartsy, but I can enjoy experimental music on this level.... Just not enough to actually spin it at home. This is more a "listen to it once every 10 years to remind me how diverse music is" kind of album, haha. Definitely wouldn't spend $100CAD on such a thing, not even when it comes with an actual trout mask, lol. I might consider the purchase with an 80% discount.

Finally listened to it. Gotta say I'm disappointed as I love Jack White generally but I'm not digging a large portion of the album. My favs are:
