Vancouver show tomorrow, and I'm a bit concerned about the turn out. There are still SO many seats available. Looks like Jack should have chosen a smaller venue, and not Rogers Arena. Tix are going for $20 on StubHub FFS.

They were also available when Livenation had their $20 sale. Wanted to come up but I don't have a passport.
On my way home from the show. Basically, if you like the new album it was a really good show - the music was great. If you don't like the new album it was probably a pretty bad show. Luckily, I really love the new album. The crowd in Vancouver wasn't very good - I think there were a lot of people there just looking for White Stripes material. They all would have been fairly disappointed.
The stage backdrop graphics were also awesome.

Canadian tour announced. Based on your review, Alli, I'm not sure about this one. But some have said even the new album translates better live than it does on record. So maybe.....

I’d throw my hat into this ring. I was not the biggest fan of the album but did think the live versions came across pretty great. He also played almost 30 songs and I think 7 were from borderhouse...

Saw him in Toronto in June - new album translated great except for one tune, and the old stuff sounds fantastic on this tour. His band is absolutely fantastic. I’m hitting London on the Canadian run.
2016 - Toronto I (Binaural!), Toronto II 2020 - Toronto, Hamilton
Caught his show tonight in Seattle before heading home and it was absolutely fantastic. Love this backing band and how they’re more of a straight up rock outfit. Special highlight was him returning the favor to Ed and Jack covering “Daughter” in Seattle. The new stuff has gotten even better live since I saw them release week back in March. Looking forward to catching Jack again later this week.

Excellent show in Portland on Saturday. Mofo can groove.
My only complaint (and it's a teeny one) is that he played for only 1 1/2 hours. I felt a bit shortchanged after the marathon set in Seattle the previous night. Not everyone can play 3+ hours. PJ spoiled me.
Back to the positives. New songs translated really well live. "Ball and Biscuit" totally shredded as did "Icky Thump". Loved "I'm Slowly Turning Into You" and "I Cut Like a Buffalo".

I'd still go if I were you!
Here was the setlist from Vancouver. I think that's a pretty great setlist (show was around 2 hours long, though hard to really say because nobody could access their phones - I most missed not knowing what time it was! ... but maybe you can see why the casual fans weren't exactly transported to another world by it, lol. They really only got excited when they started playing Seven Nation Army.
