That has to be an April Fools joke?  Why would a vault launch a backlogged record?  Put it out as a regular release?
    Real or joke?

Is the whole album a joke?  I listened to it on youtube last night and it was absolutely horrendous.

I bet this isn't a joke.  This is completely in line with Jack's latest album.  This Beefheart album is very polarizing and considered to be a classic by the artsy fartsy crowd.  I'd be surprised if it was a joke.. but who knows.

Honda also announced their new sixth sense app so you can walk while staring at your phone without looking up. And the new Chocolate Cake Bun at Burger King yesterday.

I've heard about this album but never heard it.  I could see how Zappa fits in considering he was on TV to play the bicycle once.

Trout Mask Replica is a historic album and a must have for a collection. Not everyone’s taste, but I love the release especially with the connection to Jack’s latest album. Very strange and hard for some to listen too.

I like the album - I'm not artsy fartsy, but I can enjoy experimental music on this level.... Just not enough to actually spin it at home. This is more a "listen to it once every 10 years to remind me how diverse music is" kind of album, haha. Definitely wouldn't spend $100CAD on such a thing, not even when it comes with an actual trout mask, lol. I might consider the purchase with an 80% discount.

This is a record I used to bust out back in the day when I was having about 9 beers a day. It kind of fitted where I was at that phase in my life, you know the way, wearing long coats and smoking cigarettes that I rolled myself. The usual sort of shit.

Can you roll me one of those, cowboy?

Yeah. I can roll you a cigarette but you'll have to give me one as well, and then let me get one off of you whenever I step out for rest of the night.

Finally listened to it.  Gotta say I'm disappointed as I love Jack White generally but I'm not digging a large portion of the album.  My favs are:

    Connected by Love
    Over and Over and Over
    Why Walk the dog?

    I kinda like:
    Ice station zebra
    Respect commander
    What's done is done

Jury still out, but not looking good:
    Everything you've ever learned
    Ezmeralda....
    Corporation

Mostly I'm just disappointed that it's not an album I think I'll be playing very much.  Likely to just have a few songs added to playlist rather than album listening.

I thought they did with Lazaretto.  Kind of sucks to spend $60 on an album and not get a download.

Finally I had a chance to listen and I like it overall. There are a couple songs I could do without but you could say that with almost any artist.
