So how did that get changed? The Mormon church have a change of heart about alcohol?

No, they just finally have some competition in this state, and enough people to make them realize that they don't fucking run the entire state, no matter how much they want to, or want to force their beleives on the community as a whole.

I don't know how long it's going to take for the Mormon church to realize that not everybody in Utah is mormon, nor do they want to be.

What type of religion baptizes the dead (people who have no say!)?? Barack Obama's mother has been baptized as a Latter-Day Saint, as well as Hitler ( so I've heard, who knows the truth behind that) but still...that's just a little fucked up right?

The corporate church. Let's get as many numbers as we can. After all, we are still the fasting growing "religion" in the country.

Sorry you had a shitty holiday. But don't judge SLC by that. It's still a super fun city, if you know what to look for :)

You can get the real beer if you look at the right places ;)

    1. Liquor store by the bottle.
    2. The brewery brewpub sells legit beer.
    3. Bottled beer at the club.

The latter two I wouldn't know quite yet. 42 days and counting until my 21st. After that, I can probably agree with you :D

  • You guys have a 3.2 percent alcohol level cap? Fuck that is ridiculous. Alabama recently got it's cap changed to 13.9 percent and that took years of full on lobbying to get that shit done.

Do Mormons come to your house every day up in Utah? I live in shit hole Alabama and they used to come around like once a week door to door around the neighborhoods to spread their tales of magic underwear.

Nope, that was one of the Utah advantages. Although in the neighborhood I lived at for a while we'd get the weekely Mormon neighborhood letter.

It had all sorts of things like Jello Recipes, Church hours, and the Family of the week section

3.2 cap is only on Grocery store bought beer.

Evanston is where my brother-in-law goes to refill his (illegal) Kegerator. Speaking of the brother-in-law, he did a 16 bar bus tour on Friday night and got absolutely trashed. Couldn't even coax him into any hair or the dog on Saturday  . SLC is great....just got back from house-hunting there.

they used to do that statewide in Kansas as well. not sure if that's still how it is, i moved a few years ago. liquor stores, gas stations, etc all sold 3.2 only. you couldn't buy beer after 9 anywhere. and you also couldn't buy it on Sundays. yup, we made a few trips to Missouri. 8-)
