10club Seats... Fishy...

I'm beginning to think my 10c seats were traded or something. Our tix were all the way back in row V. Is there something wrong? Am I paranoid to start thinking someone might have swapped the tix in the box office? An inside job, if you will?
We weren't sitting amongst 10c members, and I see other posters thanking the 10c for their 6th row center seats.
Wondering... it's not like those envelopes are sealed. Is there any way to find out if the tix I got were the ones issued to me through the fan club??? Did anyone else get shitty fan club seats?
Please let me know, if ya know. Thanks.
It was an epic show, though, wow...

Don't know if you will get a good answer, but my understanding, at least to show I went to, was there were no guarantee that the tickets would all be good.

Your situation sounds a bit fishy, and I know during the 06 tour some Ten Club seats were switched by venue employees, so it is possible.

well for the ed shows seniority had no importance. I might be mistaken but I believe that 10C had said that they had a certain amount of seats on the floor, i dont think they ever specified they had secured the best seats in the house for 10C members.

One of my friends got an extra from another 10C member for night 1 atlanta and the seat was on row R.

Row V isn't 'that' terrible is it? I mean, in the small venues, that's still really close right? I got lucky in Baltimore in row BBB (i.e. row 2), but in albany about 12 back and it was just as sweet!

I can't see them changing them at the venue. They didn't even know who Ed was when I called them regarding tickets before they went on sale. There is a bunch of older ladies that work in there.

I'm happy I was there. I don't want to dwell on the fact that our seats were disappointing and we were sitting amongst people who were getting up during Ed's set and seemed to be upset it was lasting so long. I wanted to be around other fan club members...

I kinda had my son amped about the "fan club" seats. I just don't know if I'll go that route next time. Then again, yeah, I probably will.

Thanks for the responses! I see after more research they don't guarantee "good" seats. I am silly, thought the fan club all sat together, haha

I am still reeling from the show, it was so good. Just wanted to see if something was fishy... I still don't know but I'll let it go :)

Yeah, some have gotten better but jeez, that's not a bad seat at all...

My buddy who isn't a 10c member was lucky to get a ticket to the show to begin with and ended up w/ the last row in the place.

We had Row M far right from stage in Memphis.....I wanted better than that but still great seats.....kinda hurt my feelings that my buddy was fourth row center stage though.....compared to that I felt slighted but I realized I never would have landed those seats when the public sale started

Actually I saw on TM row CCC a couple days before the show. I didn't want to take the loss on my balcony tickets, so I had to watch them sell to someone else.

    not odd at all.
for ed solo, the seats were spread around the venue....not at all like how it is done for full pearl jam shows. so none of us were totally surrounded by 10clubbers. i had row N night 2 in baltimore and last summer in NYC for night 2 my 10c seats were faaaaaarrrrrrr back, not even 10 rows until the last row of the venue floor. i too have read numerous people thank 10c for their amazing seats, and sure, they were simply luckier. :)

For the two FL shows I went to last year, there were rows of TM people in front of me....so I don't think they always get the best seats. Either that or the venues switched them. I also remember reading about people who were last row, right in front of the lawn, at some shows last year.

my gal and i had row P for memphis, but it was 3 seats from center. was i hoping for closer seats ? sure.

was i happy as a pig in shit to even be in the building ? you fuckin' bet i was ! :D as you stated, would have never landed those seats, even row 16 in the public onsale. so thanks 10C ! we had a blast !!!

Last year I went to 4 shows and I couldn't figure out why my tickets were where they were, but there definitely seemed to be a pattern. Turns out, they were most likely alphabetical! Does your name come close to the beginning or end of the alphabet?

I was lucky enough to score 6th row Atlanta night 1 and 3rd row Atlanta night 2 about 6-7 seats off center to the left with a 250k+ 10c number. Maybe i just run good at the Pearl Jam lottery :D . My last name starts with a "B" so if it was done that way then 6th and even 3rd row seems far. My guess is they had tons of 10c members trying for tix so they grabbed what they could for some of us to get in the building with the presale.

  • I am sitting 3rd row from the top, 3rd seat from the left wall. I am bummed for 2 reasons: I helped a friend buy tickets online months ago and he is sitting on the floor and I travelled here to celebrate my birthday. I know the tix weren't guaranteed but this is the worst scenario I couldve expected. Another friend is sitting front row center.
