UL was an instanat love. Canteen is growing, but it also might be suffering from material overkill. I LOVE that they are putting out this much material, but it's hard to digest and separate all the songs. I'll have to do a headphone deep dive this weekend.
It’s definitely hard to digest so much but man it is growing on me more and more everyday. Fantastic stuff.

This album sounds amazing on the TT, much more dynamic than the streaming Ive been listening to.   Will def be giving it a heavy listen thru the headphones!

Just recently got into the Red Hot Chili Peppers and have about 20 songs or so, most of the basic greatest hits stuff. Can anyone recommend some other songs by the band? Thanks

Maybe start a play Great Apes campaign ala Breath of 98! I’m ready for next tour hopefully indoors and this will be a tough ticket they’ll sell out every venue in California no disrespect to PJ!

I’d have to imagine they tried it a few times during rehearsals. Could be those vocals during the chorus… who knows. I don’t know how the hell they’ll balance setlists going forward with so many great new tracks.

Yeah they don’t play three hours sets so songs have to be left out of rotation!

I'm finding it harder to get into Dream Canteen.
It's an ok RHCP album, but nothing has really grabbed me yet.
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

same....I like it but it just isn't quite as good

I'm wondering if these were the UL rejects? That would make sense.

  • unlimited love does seem to be the more complete/"better" album to my ears.  Canteen has some great tracks and it certainly feels like the peppers are trying to expand their sound.  i hope they dont expand their sound by a sacrifice of chad smith

A few weeks in and still loving the record. Yes, a couple of ‘fillers’, however there are lot more high points than ‘meh’ ones.

My favourite track is still Bag of Grins. Absolute high point is the part from the 3:00min mark til the end! The song just takes off!
