Virginia State Inspection Sticker

I currently live in Virginia (DC area) but my car is registered in Texas. I plan on staying in Virginia until the end of the year and then moving back to Texas. My Texas state inspection sticker just expired today, so my question is: can I get a ticket in Virginia for an expired/no state inspection sticker when my car is registered in Texas and I'm rockin Texas plates?

I was working/living in Massachusetts for 6 months, and during that time my Pennsylvania inspection ran out. I got pulled over for a tail light out and the cop told me he could write me a ticket for my expired inspection.

i am pretty sure you can get a ticket....plus they might fine you for not changing your tags within a set amount of time after moving there.
i used to live in virginia...they love to charge you with as many traffic fines as possible.
Well, I would have to take the 1300 mile drive back to Texas in order to get a state inspection and the new sticker. I guess I really have no choice but to take my chances. If i was to get Virginia plates, i would have to change my plates again when I go back to TX, pay the obscene property taxes here for my car...and I'm pretty sure they would make me take my tint down.
They have 6 month temp stickers you can do.
Whats going to happen when you go to get new VA plates they are going to back charge you for the time your tags were expired- they dig real deep to charge you for eerything here, i had to back pay $800 because i lived in VA for a year before changing registration from NY to VA. Fuckers.
