Don't covet them or collect them or keep them bound in their shrink wrap.
Just play them already.

That's all.....

They have the same songs as the cd and the vinyl doesn't sound 10 times better than the cd. So play your cd and keep your sealed vinyl for future foolish PJ fans who covet PJ credibility at any cost.

I hope you're joking, any record that is recorded on analog sounds better on vinyl and not CD. I have enjoyed vinyl records for years (over 25) as I enjoy it, I don't buy Pearl Jam vinyl because it's worth money or thinking that one day it will be worth a lot of money. No I buy Pearl Jam vinyl for the same reason that I own over 1,000 records, to listen to it and here is a tip for all the people who bitch and moan about PJ vinyl being out of print and hard to find and expensive, BUY IT WHEN IT FIRST COMES OUT! As for vinyl not sounding 10 times better than a cd, go buy ANY record on vinyl that is an analog rcording and play it on a decent turntable, then play the cd of the same album, the cd sound like someone put a towel over both speakers, do some research before you make uneducated statements about the different sounds of analog and digital recordings.

Lol -- I love audiophiles. I actually like vinyl too but the Analog to Digital conversion used for translating analog recordings to digital media uses a high enough sample rate that the lost information is pretty much negligible (some of the signals get filtered out for sure, but towels on the speakers -- I don't think so -- that may be applicable to a vinyl vs a 128kbps mp3 argument).

BTW, I am an electrical engineer so my statements aren't entirely uneducated (although I haven't done any audio-related engineering work since school) so I am no expert either.

I saw at a Craft show the other day, this girl had warmed just enough to make bowls out of, I really thought that would be pretty cool for snacks? But don't think I could bring myself to do it with any of my PJ vinyls

I have all the studio albums, still need Rearviewmirror and Bene Hall though.

I play them all the time. In fact i was coaching my daughter into PJ this morning and played LO2L for her.

I understand why people keep their vinyl sealed and unplayed but i could never do that myself.
