Nightpain

the wolf

I dreamt I met you at the beach
the sun going down and waves at our feet
the storm moving in from the sea
that familiar electric energy in the air as we touched
embraced
kissed
you turned and walked away from me
I called your name
you looked back over you shoulder smiling
and said goodbye

I woke up shaking and my face was wet
I then realized it was not a dream at all
just a memory floating in my mind as I slept
