Holy Shit!!!! I have listened to the entire Riot Act album 3x a day for the past few days. It is amazing, especially if you're driving!! I don't know why the album has never sounded this good to me before, but there's something fucking awesome about it. I especially like the song Ghost. If anyone's heard the version at Mansfield in 03 you'd know this would be a sick song to rock out to!! I hope they bust this out during their next tour!!!! Oh yea, Get Right kicks ass too! Anyone know of any live versions of ghost or get right?

    There is a cool version of Ghost on youtube Seattle 02. I forgot about that song---definitely underrated.
    You Are is the coolest song on Riot Act in my opinion

    Ghost has aged really well. It rocks from start to finish. I hope that's one they'll bring back someday, they hardly played it on the '03 tour as it was. Think it's the only Riot Act song I've not heard live.

    Love the music to Ghost. Not to keen on Ed's vocals (the delivery not the words), though it's better live. I've been listening to RA a bit lately and there's a lot more on there that I like than I remembered.

    This was the second Pearl Jam album I ever listened to, it came out a little bit after I got VS. from my cousin for christmas, I was 12. I still love this album.

    The ONLY song that I skip almost every time I listen to the album is 1/2 full. I liked the song a lot when I saw them perform it at Bonnaroo last year, but otherwise, it might be the ONLY Pearl Jam song I can't get into.

    Ive heard a few terrible live versions of get right. Even the one on the Green habit compilation is bad, it could not possibly be the best one. I really like the song though.

    According to my notes, the best version is Uniondale.

    There is no totally perfect version of Ghost, IMO. The Boston 3 version is very good but it's played at twice the speed.

    I am sooooo LOVING Riot Act at the moment too!! god i can't seem to get enough of it!! especially Cropduster and Ghost. I am redicovering this album all over again and I am LOVING It!! :mrgreen::mrgreen:

    I was just about to respond with this same comment... I'm listening to it right now... this song is underrated.... the groove in the beginning is very cool... and then the pause... and then the explosion... and the momentum from there throughout the song is just a very cool vibe... I remember running to this song and I just repeated it like 5 times or more.

    but i also agree that you are is probably the shnaziest song from riot act. love it. another i need to see live.

    can't keep, half full, all or none, cropduster, and save you are also phenomenal.

    Really love the ending of that song; the way the whole mood changes. (I always interpreted that the protagonist decides he no longer needs help, that he could help himself.) Now I come to think of it, maybe a link with Save You?

    just in you or anyone thoguht that guitar part sounds so cool by accident, the whole "vibe" on that song is created using a beat sync effect on the guitar... it's how they get that stuttering sound that seems to lock in with the drums... leave it to a drummer to find a way to make a cool riff even cooler... : )
