Neil Young & Paul McCartney!

I've just got back from the Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park and I had to share this with you.
Neil Young was fucking amazing once again. Today was the 6th time I've seen him but the encore was a real 'once in a lifetime' experience. After a set that lasted just over 2 hours he came back out to play 1 encore, The Beatles' "Day In The Life" (as he has done for most of this tour). This time however, when the second part kicked in (the "Woke up, got out of bed..." bit) PAUL MCCARTNEY ran onto the stage and sang it with him!
Fuck!
I don't really care much about The Beatles but this was really bloody special. I still can't quite believe it to be honest. We also had a 17-minute version of "Down By The River", 12 minutes of "Words" and a 10-minute "Rockin In The Free World" that seemed to be never-ending. Needless to say, I'll have more videos on YouTube in the morning!
Apart from Neil, The Pretenders (Chrissie Hynde has still got it), Ben Harper & The Relentless 7, Fleet Foxes, blazing sunshine and cold beers made it a really awesome day!
Over and out!

Except fleet foxes made me incredibly sleepy, what a lame band. Maybe i was just amazed about Ben Harper and R7 melting my face.
Was so riding on Cortez after not hearing it a few days ago bah
But yeah, really nice ending to his tour.
I saw Neil at the IOW festival 2 weeks ago as well so I can happily say that 4 of the best hours of my gig-going life have been spent in awe of true greatness
