who dat C? A friend of yours? sorry to hear it...he looks very young!
He was my friend's son, 20 yrs old, & he worked with us last summer at my hospital. He was struck by a bus at UConn on Tues night, died at the scene. This kid had everything going for him... looks, personality, athletics, musical talent, brains (aspiring doctor), morals, philanthropy, modesty, etc. His poor mom, such a wonderful woman, spent 20 yrs teaching him how to be the best man he could be, and just as he turned the corner to become that independent man... gone.

Thx E, the funeral was this morning. So sad, SO many ppl, such a beautiful service. Oh, and to top it all off, I got a call from my mom on the way home from his wake last night... she informed me that my aunt's mom died a couple days ago, so her wake was tonight! Def was a long day, got home a little while ago. Ugh, I'm all dried out, no more tears left.
BUT... (on a lighter note) how was the show last night?!
So sorry Col...I was thinking of you guys a lot last night. Like I said, I walk that crosswalk every day at work. I know the hoops teams are getting a lot of press right now, and that is kind of masking a lot of grief on campus, but the pain is there and you can see it in the kids' faces...I'm sure you saw a few Huskies last night.
The show was indeed great, but again you and T were missed...

Yes, and today, too! "A Minor" performed in the church, and one of their soloists sang at the cemetery while another student played acoustic guitar. There were lotsa Huskies there... many of them bussed up here and stayed over last night. The high school opened up their gym & put ppl up w/cots, and a local hotel gave a real low rate for any students. Dave had tons of friends
