Sat in, having had a few beers and enjoying some JD and coke' I'm bored of watching the shit highlights of Glastonbury so far. I decided to put on an unofficial dvd recording of the full PJ sun night reading festival headline set that I aquired off ebay for some proper festival performances...............Well fuck me, this is amazing! I was at the Leeds Fri night slot they played which blew me away but this sun night headline at reading is off the scale. The emotion from the band and Ed specifically is off the scale. They and he looks so happy to be there and the performance is unreal. When Ed does Soon Forget and as he's talking before it and gets teary its just unreal. So glad I was at the Leeds part but really wish I'd been at Reading to experience this first hand!

Sorry this is three years after the fact but its the first time I've sat through the full dvd of the show rather than listening the the bootleg and it makes a massive difference.

Can't waith for Manchester and London...................................

    A) anyone on here will give you dvds and bootlegs for free :)
    B) i hope you got the full broadcast then the webcast for encores?
    C) i was there and was thinking it would be very funny if he played soon forget at a festival, oh and guess what ed brought out after i said it..
    D) the reading and leeds lineup make me wanna die this year.

Yeah i got the full encores, the lot. Amazing, Why Go only topped by MSG 08 first night which i was lucky enough to experience. Just the emotion of the first festival since Roskilde seems to carry through them all.

And the fact that they seem to have a love for the UK..................And Crown of Thorns, FUCK!!!!!AWESOME

And yeah, fests this year have an amazing line up. FNM but same time as KOL AARRRGGGHH FNM all the way though, saw KOL at o2 last week and they were awesome so it would be FNM anyway...........not that there would be a choice!! ;)

YEAH CROWN OF THORNS WHAT THE HELL!

"this song was before the band" or something like that.

Yeah i forgot FNM are playing, i saw them at download a few weeks ago and the shirts leaked the reading and leeds and i think some other dates too. They arn't even playing on the main stage, W T F. Dont know what the hell they are doing at the festival, not one band there lives up to them. They also must have been payed a lot of fucking money to do download AND reading + leeds. I can't remember or think of any bands that have done two major festivals.

God work seeing them at download, by all accounts they were amazing....I'm v jealous.

Although they aren't rockin the main stage at leeds (and you're right no band there can compete...WTF), like i said with them playing same time as KOL and with KOL having just played 6 massive arena gigs in the uk people will probably fancy something different and who better than FNM?!!!

Going back to PJ Reading/Leeds, I'm sure there are so many people out there who watched, loved, told there friends and then forgot all about PJ until they next pop up, ie. this year with new album, and then they'll be like 'oh, saw them at leeds..amazing' and yet they still won't own any album apart from Ten.

    Their loss tho................. 8-)
