Release Date?

So, im not moaning here, just curious, why is the release date loking to be mid september?

from what i can gather, the album is complete now. ed recently said something like 'its like having a xmas present 3 months early and you know they are going to love it'. if they are releasing without a major label, the music is done, and couple shows coming up, why wait until september to release and not just as soon as they can?

    As of the tonight show a few weeks ago, the artwork was not done yet, and they still have to press all the cd's/vinyl I imagine.

    It wouldn't surprise me if it got moved forward a week or two, especially if it leaks.

    these things take time. there's the unfinished artwork/concepts to iron out. plus last we heard, they were listening to the mixes, which means its not sitting around waiting to be pressed.

    It will get leaked. They always do.

    I'm sure they will try to release it as quickly as possible given the August touring that is already scheduled. We still don't have official word of that Sept 22 release date, so it wouldn't surprise me if the real date was as much as a month or so before that.

    Actual release date is Sept 22nd. I think there are doing some special arrangement with target. Don't know what it is though
