so i go to get coffee before work this morning and then my car won't start. already like 90 degress outside. no one i called answered their phones. finally after being an hour late for work and very put off, my friend calls back and shows up to give me a jump (thanks again caleb). i just make it to the garage before it dies again. from my description, the mechanic thinks it's the alternator. so there goes my paycheck. now i'm in the worst mood. my friend is driving me to work and Alive comes on the radio. it instantly puts me in a good mood! thanks guys.

I recommend he test the battery first before putting in a new alternator...did you battery light come on in the car as you were taking it to the mechanic...?

hmmm...you may have a blown fuse, a bad ground...a wild guess is your ignition switch may be bad...

    I hope it's just a dead battery...

not t make you shit your pants or anything, but something simular to this happened to my car.

    The battery was dead...
    jumped it...
    bought a new battery...
2 weeks later the battery died...
    jumped it...
    brought it into a mechanic....
    installed a new alternator....
2 weeks later the battery died
    brought it into a mechanic...
they recharged the battery, ran a diagnostics test, found nothing wrong...
2 weeks later the battery died
brought it to a different mechanic who specializes in electrics...
they recharged the battery, ran a diagnostics check, checked for a battery draw found nothing wrong....
2 weeks later the battery died
brought it into a 3rd mechanic
they recharged the battery, found that the batery had died and been recharged so many times that it was no longer good put in a new one (no cost since it was under warranty), did adiagnostics check, checked for a battery draw
2 weeks later the battery died
brought it to the mechanic again, they held on to the car for 2 weeks to try and recreate the problem. 2 weeks go by, they test drove it everyday trying to get the battery to die but couldn't make it happen.

took the car back, i decided enough was enough, and I took it to a dealership and got a new car.

98 weeks later, not a single issue.
